Places You Shouldn’t Miss
Chinatown, which took shape after the port opened in the 1880s, is the largest in Korea and is also known as the birthplace of jjajangmyeon. Other popular spots include the futuristic city of Songdo, built on reclaimed tidal flats in 2003, with its Central Park; Wolmido, known for its amusement rides and coastal promenade; and Songwol-dong Fairy Tale Village, where the streets are decorated like scenes from a storybook.
Travel Tips
Chinatown, Fairy Tale Village, and Wolmido are relatively close to one another, making them easy to combine into a one-day itinerary. Incheon is also a great option for a layover or a short trip.
