Incheon Grand Park is a 2,665,000㎡ natural green park located at the foot of Gwanmosan in Jangsu-dong, Namdong-gu. Incheon City states that approximately 4 million people visit annually, and the park includes a lake, arboretum, wetland, forest school, campground, Environmental Future Hall, Wood Culture Experience Center, and sports facilities.

The key feature is not a single flower attraction but a layout where visitors can walk through both the mountain foothills and the facilities on the flatland. The Gwanmosan area includes a healing forest featuring Japanese cedar and metasequoia forest paths. Since Incheon Grand Park Station on Incheon Subway Line 2 provides access near the south gate, it creates a route into the forest from the surrounding urban neighborhoods.

A schedule for walking through the entire park between the 05:00 opening and 23:00 closing

The entire park is open from 05:00 to 23:00 in summer and from 05:00 to 22:00 in winter. General admission to the park is free, and there are no regular closing days. However, separately operated facilities such as the arboretum, children's zoo, and Environmental Future Hall may be closed on Mondays, so visitors whose main destination is a particular facility should not rely solely on the park's general opening hours.

For a first visit, allow 1.5 to 2 hours mainly for the lake and walking trails. Including the arboretum or children's zoo, 3 to 4 hours is more realistic. Which entrance should you use: the south gate at Incheon Grand Park Station or the main gate with 10 bus routes?

For subway users, the simplest approach is to enter through the south gate from Incheon Grand Park Station on Incheon Subway Line 2. The children's zoo and healing forest facilities are close to the south gate, so the route is shorter than from the main gate if you plan to prioritize the zoo or forest paths during a brief visit.

For the main gate, use the “Incheon Grand Park” bus stop served by routes 8, 8A, 11, 14-1, 14-1A, 16-1, 30, 37, 103-1, and 909. The south gate can be reached by routes 15, 22, 535-1, and 535-1A. From the south plaza of Songnae Station on Seoul Metropolitan Subway Line 1, you can take buses 8, 11, 14-1, 16-1, 30, 47, and 103-1. For routes 14-1, 47, and 103-1, check that the vehicle is bound for the park.

Three parking zones—west, east, and Suhyeon Village—and the reality of 2,155 spaces

Visitors arriving by car can use three parking zones with a total of 2,155 spaces. There are five payment booths in total: three at the west gate (main gate), one at the east gate (Manuigol), and one at Suhyeon Village. The parking lots operate 24 hours a day. The fee is 3,000 won for small vehicles and 4,000 won for large vehicles, including vehicles with 25 or more seats or freight vehicles weighing 2.5 tons or more.

Since April 2024, the system has changed to payment after leaving the parking lot. You can pay at an unmanned payment machine or in advance by QR code before exiting. Mini vehicles receive a 60% discount; vehicles for people with disabilities in grades 1–6 and vehicles belonging to eligible national merit recipients receive an 80% discount; and vehicles registered for the weekly car-free-day program receive a 50% discount. Vehicles carrying pregnant passengers are free when supporting documents are presented. Since congestion is possible at the main-gate entrance during the spring flower season and on weekends, approaching via the subway south gate may be preferable.

On Mondays, plan the arboretum, children's zoo, and Environmental Future Hall separately

Incheon Grand Park Arboretum is open from 10:00 to 18:00 during the summer season, March through October, and from 10:00 to 17:00 during the winter season, November through February. Admission is allowed until one hour before closing. Admission is free, but the arboretum is closed every Monday, January 1, and during the Lunar New Year and Chuseok holiday periods. Cooking, eating, smoking, collecting plants, and entering areas outside designated viewing paths are prohibited inside the arboretum.

The children's zoo is also free and operates from 10:00 to 17:00. It is closed every Monday and on the days of Lunar New Year's Day and Chuseok. Following its reopening on April 14, 2026, the children's animal class resumed on May 1. Information is provided about animals including Japanese macaques, common marmosets, fennec foxes, meerkats, sika deer, miniature donkeys, and wallaroos. For families, it is efficient to visit the zoo first from the south gate and then move toward the lake.

10:00–17:00 from March to November: Covering more ground with 69 multi-person bicycles

Groups that may find the park's large size difficult to cover on foot can use the bicycle plaza. As of April 2025, 69 multi-person bicycles are in operation. They are available for rent from 10:00 to 17:00 from March through November and are not operated from December through February. The fee is 10,000 won for one hour, with an additional 2,000 won charged for every 10 minutes over the allotted time.

The rental station also includes a ticket office, repair room, and storage room. Conversely, if you prefer a quiet walk, it is better to choose one area and reduce travel distance rather than trying to include the lake, arboretum, and healing forest all at once. The healing forest includes Majungteo, Solhyang Forest, Iyaginanumteo, the Metasequoia Forest Path, Sorisup Meditation Area, Pyeonbaek Baram Forest, an accessible path, and Mulgil Forest.

A 6,059㎡ rose garden with 74 varieties and 12,000 plants: a flower route from late May to early June

The rose garden beside the greenhouse covers 6,059㎡. It features 12,000 plants of 74 varieties of roses, Incheon's city flower, planted around the fountain. Good Morning Incheon recommends late May to early June as a particularly attractive time to see summer roses. Rather than fixing your visit around spring cherry blossoms alone, plan the rose garden as your destination if visiting from late May onward.

The Wood Culture Experience Center in the park operates year-round but is closed every Monday, January 1, and during the Lunar New Year and Chuseok holiday periods. Its hours are 10:00 to 17:00, with sessions offered Tuesday through Sunday at 10:00, 13:30, 15:00, or 15:30. Online reservations are the standard, but on-site registration is possible if spaces remain. The Ginkgo Workshop and Zelkova Workshop each accommodate 20 people, while Cloud Tree Playground is for children ages 3 to 5 and accommodates 15.

Why to check the south gate and sloped sections first before using a wheelchair or stroller

According to barrier-free information from Incheon Tour, the main entrance allows wheelchair access, and there are 41 accessible parking spaces. Tactile paving is installed in front of the parking lot and around the restrooms, and an information staff member is stationed at the information center. Service animals are permitted, and strollers for infants under 24 months can be borrowed from the information center.

However, some access routes in the park have steep slopes and stairs, so caution is needed when traveling by wheelchair. Consider the healing forest sections that include accessible paths first. If your destination is a specific facility such as the arboretum, rose garden, or children's zoo, it is safer to ask again at the entrance about the facility's location. A nursing room is inside the management office, and separate men's and women's restrooms are available.
