Free foreign-language exhibition tours will be held from November 10 to November 25, 2026, at the Seoul Museum of Art Seosomun Main Branch, 61 Deoksugung-gil, Jung-gu, Seoul. Whether advance reservations are required and where to make them have not been announced for this session. This year, six sessions are scheduled in five languages—English, French, Chinese, Japanese, and Indonesian—and it has not been confirmed whether this is a new arrangement because no language or session-count information from previous sessions is available.

Six sessions in five languages in 2026, beginning in front of the Chun Kyung-ja Collection

The sessions will last 30–40 minutes each, beginning with the English tour at 3 p.m. on November 10, 2026. The tour focuses on the Chun Kyung-ja Collection, Toward the Wind That Resonates with the Soul.

The schedule is as follows: English at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, November 10; French at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, November 11; Chinese at 3 p.m. on Thursday, November 12; Japanese at 3 p.m. on Friday, November 13; Indonesian at 6 p.m. on Friday, November 20; and Japanese at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, November 25. Japanese has separate 3 p.m. and 1 p.m. sessions, while Indonesian is offered once at 6 p.m. on November 20.

The Chun Kyung-ja Collection presents some of the 93 works donated by the artist, with works created over approximately 60 years, from the 1940s through the 1990s. Since the language is clearly assigned by session, visitors should first choose the date and time corresponding to a language they understand.

261 m from City Hall Station Exit 10 to the Chun Kyung-ja exhibition on the second floor

The museum is approximately 261 m from Exit 10 of City Hall Station on Lines 1 and 2. The event address is 61 Deoksugung-gil, Jung-gu, Seoul, and the meeting point is in front of the Chun Kyung-ja permanent exhibition on the second floor of the Seosomun Main Branch.

By bus, take trunk bus routes 172, 472, 600, or 602, or branch bus route 7019, and get off at the “City Hall·Seosomun Government Complex” stop. Since the station exit is close to the destination, the event can be combined with a same-day itinerary in central Seoul. However, the last-bus time after the 6 p.m. tour on November 20 is not included in this announcement, so visitors returning late should check their return route separately in a transportation app.

The Seosomun Main Branch is open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday and from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Fridays. From November through February, it is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays. Admission is allowed until one hour before closing.

Using a car is less advantageous. The parking lot operates from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Mondays, Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays. Parking costs 400 won per five minutes on weekdays and 300 won per five minutes on Saturdays and public holidays. Because the parking facility is small and general visitor parking is difficult, public transportation is the more practical choice.

A 30–40-minute Chun Kyung-ja tour without photographing the artworks

Each session begins with participants gathering in front of the Chun Kyung-ja permanent exhibition on the second floor and lasts 30–40 minutes. The tour follows the artworks and Chun Kyung-ja’s life and artistic world in the language scheduled for that date—English, French, Chinese, Japanese, or Indonesian—so there is no need to wait for a Korean-language tour.

Photography of the artworks and recording the tour commentary are prohibited inside the exhibition hall. This event is best suited to visitors who can arrive in front of the exhibition hall at the designated time, listen to the explanation, and view the artworks, rather than travelers wishing to leave photographic or audio records.

Free 30-minute tours and visitor conditions at the Seosomun Main Branch

Participation is free. The Seosomun Main Branch has an accessible ramp, stroller rentals, wheelchair rentals, elevators, and lockers. General admission to the museum is also free, although special exhibitions may charge admission. Visitors should therefore distinguish the Chun Kyung-ja Collection, which is the subject of this foreign-language tour, from other exhibitions they may wish to see.

However, the published schedule does not confirm whether advance reservations are required for the 2026 sessions, the capacity for each language, operating or cancellation criteria in rainy weather, or whether official foreign-language information sheets will be provided. No food and beverage sales information is included in this announcement, and there is also no information with which to assess cleanliness or the operation of on-site safety staff.

Because the tours start only at the six designated times, they may not suit visitors who prefer to explore quietly at their own pace. Travelers requiring a language other than English, French, Chinese, Japanese, or Indonesian will not find a suitable session. Visitors with strollers or wheelchairs can use the rental equipment and elevators, but before visiting in November, confirm the meeting location and same-day route, as well as reservations, capacity, rainy-weather operations, and admission procedures, by calling the museum’s main number, 02-2124-8800, or the program inquiry numbers, +82-2-2124-8973 and 8826.
