421 Sallokbuk-ro, the Experience Center Standing on the 1955 Starting Line of Jeju Education Research

The Jeju Science Exploration Experience Center is located within the Jeju Research Institute of Convergence Science and Education at 421 Sallokbuk-ro, Jeju-si, Jeju Special Self-Governing Province. The institute was established as the Jeju-do Education Research Center on November 30, 1955. After evolving through the functions of various educational institutions, it now operates the Science Exploration Experience Center as a venue for spreading scientific culture.

This place is closer to a scientific, mathematical, SW, and AI education infrastructure of the Jeju Office of Education than a simple exhibition hall. The Science Exploration Experience Center is located in the same building complex, but the Jeju Mathematics Experience Center and the Jeju SW·AI Experience Center are located separately at 88 Jeonnong-ro, Jeju-si, so it is best not to confuse the addresses.

Groups of 120 per Session and 3 Screening Programs Priority on Reservation

Groups such as daycare centers, kindergartens, elementary/middle/high schools, alternative schools, local children's centers, and welfare facilities for the disabled must make an online reservation in advance through the Jeju Special Self-Governing Province Office of Education Integrated Reservation System. Group free tours are available twice a day from 09:30-13:00 and 13:00-16:30, with a capacity limit of 120 people per session.

The 3D Theater, Planetarium, and Dance Robots give priority to those with prior reservations. The 3D Theater operates for 20 minutes at 09:40, 11:10, 13:30, and 15:30. The Planetarium operates for 20 minutes at 10:10, 10:40, 14:00, and 15:00. From Foucault Pendulums to Drones, How to Allocate Time in the 1st and 3rd Experience Rooms

In the 1st Science Exploration Experience Room, 'Cube of Dynamics,' there are exhibits such as the Foucault Pendulum, the Inverted Mirror, and various mirrors that show changes in images. The Foucault Pendulum is a device designed to let visitors observe the motion of the pendulum and think about the Earth's rotation, while the Inverted Mirror deals with the illusion where movements appear reversed using the laws of light reflection.

In the 3rd Science Exploration Experience Room, 'Cube of Leap,' you can find devices that show air flow by floating a ball over a vent, experiences measuring distance with light, and exhibits dealing with the principles of drone flight. If you are only doing a free tour, it is good to set a time for either a 3D Theater or Planetarium screening first and then arrange visits to the 1st and 3rd Experience Rooms before or after it for a route of about 1 hour 30 minutes to 2 hours.

Usage Conditions for the Kids Experience Zone Only for Preschoolers Aged 36 Months and Older

The Kids Experience Zone is a space intended primarily for preschoolers aged 36 months and older. It includes exhibits such as a ball pool, Living Tangram, Choo-choo Music Station, and Flying Scarves, making it a priority for families looking for age-appropriate activities.

Children under 36 months old can only enter on a limited basis when accompanied by a guardian, and only if the primary user is a preschooler aged 36 months or older. They must remain by the guardian's side throughout the experience. Guardians or accompanying teachers are required when toddlers and children participate in experiences. Strollers are prohibited inside the experience center, so they must be left at the designated storage area before entering.

Clean Up Food and Strollers at the Entrance, and Why You Should Arrive Before 16:00

Bringing and consuming food is restricted inside the experience center, and lost items are discarded after being kept for one month. Exhibits should be operated after reading the instructions, and responsibility for restoration may arise in case of intentional damage. Since there is guidance on filling out a guestbook before viewing, arriving around 15:00 is more relaxed than arriving right before closing.

Elevators are designated as facilities giving priority to the elderly and the disabled. Strollers are stored in designated areas instead of being brought indoors. Since details on wheelchair use, specific convenience facilities, and the availability of foreign language guidance are not confirmed in the public information, it is best to inquire at 064-710-0800 before visiting. The official website is the experience center page of the Jeju Research Institute of Convergence Science and Education, and the address is 421 Sallokbuk-ro, Jeju-si, Jeju Special Self-Governing Province.

  • Food: Restricted from bringing and consuming
  • Strollers: Prohibited indoors, must be stored in designated areas
  • Last Admission: 16:00
  • Elevators: Priority for the elderly and the disabled
  • Parking: Fee and number of spaces not disclosed in official guide; inquiry before visiting by car is recommended

2026 Escape Room 40 Minutes and Dance Robot 50-Seat Capacity, Differences in Reservation-based Experiences

For individual visitors in 2026, the Escape Room experience is announced to operate from May 9th to December 31st. Only one team of 2-4 people can apply for each session, and reservations are made online from 14 days to 3 days before the experience date. On-site registration is not available; the total experience time is 40 minutes, and entry to the room is required 5 minutes before the start.

The Escape Room is available for ages 14 and older, or ages 12 and older when accompanied by a guardian. In contrast, the Dance Robot experience is based on 50 people per session via a separate reservation, and reservations/cancellations must be completed 3 days before the experience date. Since viewing may be difficult if you are later than the reserved time, you should schedule your free tour and reserved programs so that their times do not overlap when planning them for the same day.

  • Escape Room: 1 team of 2-4 people, 40 minutes, online reservation only
  • Escape Room Age: 14+, or 12+ when accompanied by a guardian
  • Escape Room Inquiries: 064-710-0848
  • Dance Robot Reservation Standard: 50 people per session
