A July 2025 review includes a personal observation that an open lot appeared capable of accommodating approximately 20 cars, as well as a mention of vehicles parked along the road shoulder. Shoulder parking can obstruct traffic and create risks of towing and accidents, so it should be avoided; if there is no space, do not force your way in. A review says that the route from the parking lot to the valley descends via the opposite side, making water shoes and a small hands-free bag useful.

The Korea Tourism Organization describes it as a pristine environment where freshwater snails can be seen in the clear water and fireflies can be observed in summer.

However, saying that the water is not deep does not guarantee safety throughout the entire valley. A review following a visit in July 2025 records that deep areas reaching around an adult man’s waist existed alongside shallow areas. Children must remain at the water’s edge with a guardian, and safety should not be judged by a tube alone. Because the rocks can be slippery, water shoes that secure the heel are preferable to sandals.

Official tourism information does not provide a specific bus route, stop, or walking time for Seoksan Valley. Therefore, first-time visitors using only public transportation should connect to a taxi or rental car after arriving at Yongmun Station or Yangpyeong Station. For the return trip, it is safer to call a taxi in advance, taking mobile phone reception and vehicle availability into account. If you include a hike on Sorisan Mountain, it is better to shorten the time spent in the water. Walking along rocky or mountain trails in wet shoes is dangerous, and driving home after spending a long time in the valley can increase fatigue. For families with young children, it is more practical to focus on a short stay around Seokgan Mineral Spring; for visitors whose main purpose is hiking, water activities can be limited to simply soaking their feet.
