Coex Magok 1st-floor venue hosting Creator Square on August 28–29
The 2026 Creator Media Festival will be held from Friday, August 28, through Saturday, August 29, 2026, at the first-floor exhibition hall of Coex Magok and Magok Plaza, located at 143 Magokjungang-ro, Gangseo-gu, Seoul. Visiting hours are 10:00–18:00 on both days, and admission is free. The event is hosted by the Korea Communications Commission and organized by the Korea Radio Promotion Association. This year’s theme is “Creator Square, a plaza where everyone’s creativity comes together.” Coex Magok event information
The layout starts indoors with the CORE STAGE, experience zones, and corporate pavilion before continuing to the OPEN STREET at Magok Plaza. The schedule is designed to make creators feel less like figures on a screen and more like people you can meet directly at fan meetings and talk shows, so visiting with a friend who follows a favorite channel should provide plenty to talk about.
- From 11:00 to 12:00 on August 28, the opening ceremony will feature the presentation of a promotional ambassador appointment plaque to Mimiminu, a Clean Content Campaign performance, and a congratulatory performance by John Park.
- From 12:00 to 13:00 on August 28, a 4D Label random-play dance event will be followed by a parade performance by the Dongmija Bicycle Music Band.
- A Wavillage live talk show is scheduled for 13:00–14:00 on August 28, followed by a Hye-da creator mini live session from 14:00 to 15:00.
- From 15:00 to 15:30 on August 28, there will be stand-up comedy by Lee Je-gyu and Park Cheol-hyun. From 16:00 to 17:00, a media platform panel talk show will be held with Xiaohongshu, Bilibili, and iQIYI.
- On August 28, a Gmarket × Hey Jini live-commerce session and fan meetings with Suryun Suryun, Mimiminu, Wavillage, Nam Yeon-hee, the Hye Sisters, and Jeongdu Kong will take place from 12:00 to 16:00.
- From 11:00 to 11:30 on August 29, there will be a mini live performance by Honttoni Band and a random-play dance event by Dancing Bear, followed by Heopop’s science experiment show from 12:00 to 12:30.
- From 13:30 to 14:00 on August 29, “Stories of People Living Their Lives” by Gaeng Yeo-un, Yoon Tae-seop, and Kim Da-som is scheduled. Niki’s Magic Station will follow from 14:30 to 15:00, and Team Illusion + Adrenaline will present a special stage from 15:30 to 16:00.
- The August 29 fan meetings will feature Heopop and Sseolreim, Honttoni Band, Manggu and Yuhu, and Saramsaneuniyagi and Haebom, running from 11:00 to 15:30.

A three-minute walk from Magongnaru Station Exit 2, on the way to meet Heopop and Hey Jini
For friends coming from overseas, Seoul Subway Line 9’s Magongnaru Station Exit 2 was the simplest option. After following the signs for Exits 1 and 2 from the ticket gates, enter the underground passage at Magok Plaza; Coex Magok is a three-minute walk away. Magongnaru Station on the Airport Railroad is a six-minute walk from Exit 6, while Magok Station on Line 5 is a 15-minute walk from Exit 1. The route should be especially convenient for travelers coming from Gimpo Airport or using the Airport Railroad. Coex Magok transportation information
If you take a bus, you can get off at Magongnaru Station bus stop 16396, served by N64, 6645, 6648, and Gangseo 07. At Magongnaru Station Exit 5–Seoul Botanic Park bus stop 16386, you can take N64, 6642, 6645, or 6648. Seoul Botanic Park, LG Arts Center Seoul, and Space K Seoul are located across from the venue, making it easy to combine the festival with a performance or exhibition. The event webpage has a KOR–ENG language toggle, and completing advance registration issues an admission QR code. However, because phone verification is included in the registration process, friends without a Korean phone number should check before departing whether on-site registration is available. On-site English signage and interpretation services are not listed separately. Advance registration information for visitors
Since admission is free, it is easy to choose one of the two days for a casual visit. Indoors, there will be a Geekble science experience zone, RC excavators, laser-tag survival, cosplay, and creator experience zones. BRAND STREET is scheduled to feature TikTok, Cafe24, and SOOP booths, demonstrations of new AI and virtual technologies, business matching, and free legal consultations for creators. At Magok Plaza, visitors can enjoy a street karaoke area, busking, caricature drawing and face painting, DIY merchandise experiences, pop-up stores, and a flea market.
If you have luggage, remember the lockers in the corridor between Exhibition Halls 1 and 2 on the first floor. Small lockers cost 2,000 won for 24 hours, while medium and large lockers cost 3,000 won, and card payment is available. There is an information desk at the first-floor Gate 1 entrance, and portable battery rentals cost 800 won per 30 minutes. Since the payment methods accepted at individual sales booths are not listed, it would be wise to bring both a card and a small amount of cash. Coex Magok amenities information

Fan meetings from 12:00 to 16:00 and Magok Plaza OPEN STREET: points to note in advance
Following only the stage program can result in a long route. The August 28 fan meetings are concentrated between 12:00 and 16:00, while those on August 29 run from 11:00 to 15:30, so it is best to decide which creator you most want to see and when, then plan around the CORE STAGE. In particular, entry is available from 10:00 on August 28, but the opening ceremony begins at 11:00, so keep the one-hour difference in mind if the opening ceremony is your goal.
Magok Plaza’s OPEN STREET will feature busking, a flea market, DIY merchandise experiences, food trucks, and café and lounge tables. Because the event moves between outdoor and indoor areas, bringing a small umbrella or parasol, a water bottle, and a portable phone battery will make getting around more comfortable. The main-stage programs are scheduled to be streamed live on YouTube, so if the times you want to see overlap, you can spend your time experiencing one program on-site and use the online stream for another.
It is also worth remembering that the lockers accept only 1,000-won bills when cash is inserted. Card payment is available, so it would be safer to bring a variety of payment methods rather than only large bills. Checking the locations of the first-floor information desk and lockers immediately after entering can reduce the time spent looking for them again while moving between fan meetings and experience zones.
Between CORE STAGE and PLAY GROUND: conclusion on the 2026 Creator Media Festival
This two-day event is a good fit for foreign friends interested in Korean creators’ fan culture, live commerce, AI-based media technology, and science experiment shows. From John Park’s performance and Heopop’s science experiment show to panel talks with Xiaohongshu, Bilibili, and iQIYI and booths by TikTok, Cafe24, and SOOP, you can choose from a variety of experiences in one location.
Travelers who want to get a close look at Korea’s current online content and fan communities rather than focusing on traditional culture may be especially satisfied. Admission is free, the venue is close to Magongnaru Station, and Seoul Botanic Park can be visited together, making this a recommendation for anyone who wants to fill a summer day in western Seoul with a little more energy.
