A Six-Level Route Through Lotte World Mall Connecting Jamsil Station and Seokchon Lake

Lotte World Mall is a multipurpose shopping mall connected to Jamsil Station, with clearly defined purposes on each floor, from the B1F Aquarium to the 6F dining area and cinema. The mall’s standard hours are 10:30–22:00, while the cinema, exhibitions, and aquarium have separate operating hours and admission fees that should be checked individually.

“A City Beneath the Tower” in Jamsil, Opened in October 2014

Lotte World Mall is located at 300 Olympic-ro, Songpa-gu, Seoul (29 Sincheon-dong), and is the lower-level mixed-use complex of Lotte World Tower, which began operations on October 14, 2014. The representative contact listed in the Korea Tourism Organization’s information is 02-3213-5000, while the Lotte Corporation business introduction page lists 02-3213-5100 along with the address.

Built beside the 123-story, 555-meter Lotte World Tower, this complex was not designed solely for shopping. The B1F aquarium, Lotte Cinema and restaurants on the 5th and 6th floors, Lotte Museum on the 7th floor, and Lotte Concert Hall on the 8th floor are all connected within one complex, making it easy to combine Jamsil Station, Seokchon Lake, and Seoul Sky in a single day.

10:30–22:00: Facility Closing Times Vary Before Store Hours Do

According to the official facility information for Lotte World Tower and Mall, Lotte World Mall is open daily from 10:30 to 22:00. Entry to the mall itself is free, and no regular closing day is separately fixed and announced. It is therefore safest to check the official website again just before visiting for specific dates such as Seollal and Chuseok, as well as individual store closures.

Even within the same building, operating hours are not uniform. Lotte Museum is open from 10:30 to 19:00, with last admission at 18:30, while Seoul Sky operates from 10:30 to 22:00 Sunday through Thursday and from 10:30 to 23:00 on Fridays and Saturdays. Lotte Cinema follows its screening schedule, and Lotte Concert Hall follows the start time of each performance, so 22:00 should not be understood as the closing time for the entire building.

  • Basic mall hours: 10:30–22:00
  • Mall admission: Free
  • Lotte Museum: 10:30–19:00, last admission at 18:30
  • Seoul Sky: Sunday–Thursday 10:30–22:00 / Friday–Saturday 10:30–23:00

How to Enter via B1F from Jamsil Station’s Lines 2 and 8 and Reach the 6th Floor

The simplest way to get there is via Jamsil Station on Subway Lines 2 and 8. Instead of looking for a street-level exit, follow the signs for Lotte World Mall through the underground station passageway to connect directly to B1F. For international visitors, using the B1F information desk as a reference point makes it easy to find directions to the aquarium, pop-up spaces, and food court.

B1F has Avenuel, fashion, a food court, and the aquarium, while the 1st floor has SPA, cosmetics, women’s fashion, bakeries, and cafés. The 3rd floor focuses on sports, leisure, and Hi-Mart; the 4th floor has kids’ items, a bookstore, and casual wear; and the 5th and 6th floors center on restaurants, cafés, and the cinema. If you are visiting primarily to eat, going directly to the 5th or 6th floor first and then working your way down can reduce elevator wait times.

From the B1F Aquarium to the 6th-Floor Restaurants: Organizing Floors by Purpose

B1F is a floor where the aquarium, food court, cafés, and pop-up stores overlap. If you plan to include Lotte World Aquarium in your itinerary, first check its separate operating hours—listed as 10:00–20:00 on weekdays and 10:00–22:00 on weekends—as well as its paid admission ticket. Entry to the mall is free for ordinary shopping visitors, but the aquarium, exhibitions, and performances each require separate tickets.

The 5th and 6th floors bring together restaurants, cafés, and Lotte Cinema, making it easy to continue a meal and movie schedule indoors even on rainy days. However, restaurants on the 5th and 6th floors have different last-order times by establishment, so check individual store information if you plan to eat after 21:00. Parking discounts after a movie may also have different conditions depending on the movie ticket.

How Seoul Seoul 3080 and 29 Street Preserve the Memory of 29 Sincheon-dong

Lotte Corporation introduces Seoul Seoul 3080 on the 5th and 6th floors as a themed area recreating Seoul street scenes from the 1930s through the 1980s. Rather than being simply a restaurant area, it is closer to a setting that combines Seoul’s modern and contemporary urban imagery with dining spaces. It features displays such as a streetcar, a phone booth, and old movie posters, making it worth a brief look before or after a meal.

The name 29 Street comes from the former lot number of the site, 29 Sincheon-dong. This area centers on restaurants, cafés, beauty shops, and aesthetic clinics, and connects with the dining routes on the 5th and 6th floors. For first-time visitors, it is therefore efficient to plan a meal at 29 Street and then continue to Seoul Seoul 3080 on the same floors, reducing the need to retrace your steps.

500 Won per 10 Minutes During the Day and the 200-Won Rule After 20:00

Parking is available. According to the Korea Tourism Organization’s information, the rate is 500 won per 10 minutes from 10:00 to 20:00 and 200 won per 10 minutes after 20:00. This works out to 3,000 won for one hour during the day and 1,200 won for one hour at night. Holders of a movie or aquarium ticket dated the same day are informed of a parking rate of 4,800 won for four hours, but the applicable conditions and preregistration process may change, so check the on-site instructions before leaving.

If you plan to stay for a long time by car, the regular daytime rate for four hours is 12,000 won, making use of the movie or aquarium a significant factor in the cost difference. In particular, traffic around Jamsil Station can become concentrated on weekends, so if you are only shopping, using the underground passage connected to Jamsil Station on Lines 2 and 8 can reduce the uncertainty of entering and exiting the parking lot.

3–5 Hours Needed When Adding Seokchon Lake and Seoul Sky

If you are simply looking around the mall and having a meal, allow 2–3 hours; adding one of a movie, the aquarium, or an exhibition makes 4–5 hours more realistic. Including Seoul Sky can extend the itinerary to half a day when waiting times and elevator travel are taken into account. Seoul Sky is located on floors 117F–123F, so its viewing route is not exactly the same as the route between the mall’s stores.

Seokchon Lake adjoins the Lotte World Tower and Mall area, making it easy to add a walk after an indoor schedule, but it is better to increase the amount of time spent indoors during rain, strong winds, or extreme heat. For international visitors who need assistance, a 2024 report said that an AI simultaneous interpretation service had been installed on the 1st floor of Avenuel Jamsil and at the B1F information desk of Lotte World Mall; the languages supported and its location should be reconfirmed on site.

Why to Check Same-Day Announcements Before Visiting: Pop-Up Schedules Change on B1F, 2F, and 5F

The official events page for Lotte World Tower and Mall regularly lists pop-ups and store events on B1F, 2F, 3F, 4F, and 5F by date, floor, and location. If a pop-up is one of your reasons for visiting, check the event’s end date and exact floor number before simply choosing the day you will go to Lotte World Mall.

Official announcements from June 2026 listed pop-ups and promotions with different periods across B1F, 2F, 3F, 4F, and 5F. This means that even if the store you are looking for is not on one floor, changes in events can shift the focus of your route. Conversely, if you are not visiting for a specific character or brand pop-up, it is efficient to shop on floors 1F–4F around opening time, 10:30, on a weekday, then move to 5F–6F before lunchtime.
