NCT Doyoung donates 100 million won to Korea Life Respect Hope Foundation [Official]

The Korea Life Respect Hope Foundation (Chairperson Jung Yun-soon) announced that NCT Doyoung has made a designated donation of 100 million won to support suicide crisis intervention for Korean military service members and children and adolescents bereaved by suicide. The 'Cheonmyeong Keeper Project,' in which Doyoung is participating as a life ambassador, is a nationwide suicide prevention initiative aimed at reducing the number of suicide deaths by 1,000 by 2026.

This donation was made in accordance with Doyoung's warm wish to help service members protecting the country, as well as bereaved children and adolescents who have suffered the pain of sudden loss, recover their mental health and gain support in overcoming crises. The foundation plans to actively reflect the donor's intentions by segmenting the recipients and, in consultation with related agencies, preparing practical support measures.

NCT Doyoung said, “Among the things I often said to fans, there is a phrase: 'Tomorrow will surely be happier than today.' There are days when even one day can feel a little overwhelming and difficult, but I believe that in the end, tomorrow will move one step further in a warmer and happier direction than today,” and added, “I hope this donation conveys my support, and I sincerely hope it becomes strength that helps everyone find courage.”

In response, Chairperson Jung Yun-soon emphasized that protecting the mental health of service members and bereaved children and adolescents is a key part of building a social suicide prevention safety net, and expressed gratitude, saying, “Doyoung's sharing will become a precious 'lifeline' that reconnects those in despair with society.” She added, “The foundation will also fulfill its responsibility so that the donation can reach those who need it most as practical help.”

Meanwhile, Doyoung enlisted as an active-duty soldier in the Army on December 8 last year.
