'Comeback' ILLIT Picks Up a Whistle… Bold Warning: 'I'll Arrest You' [Today's Preview]

In the fast-paced entertainment industry, various works are being introduced today as well, and artists making fresh returns are appearing before the public. Let’s take a look at today’s main events.

ILLIT’s Bold Warning: ‘I’m Going to Arrest You’

On the afternoon of the 26th, ILLIT (Yunah, Minju, Moka, Wonhee, Iroha) will hold a media showcase for their fifth mini album, ‘BREAK EVEN,’ announcing their comeback.

ILLIT will release their fifth mini album, ‘BREAK EVEN,’ at 6 p.m. that day. The album title, ‘BREAK EVEN,’ refers to the break-even point of a relationship in which there is neither loss nor profit. ILLIT declares that they will no longer pour their hearts and time into relationships that do not give back as much as they put in. Having moved straight ahead without hiding their feelings for someone they like, they now face a new phase of love.

The new album contains a total of four tracks, including the title song ‘I’m Going to Arrest You,’ ‘Super in Love,’ ‘More,’ and ‘Pop.’ The title track, ‘I’m Going to Arrest You,’ is an electro-pop song that warns someone who has mistaken habitual kindness for genuine interest.

ILLIT shows a resolute attitude by sorting out their relationships themselves without being swept away by past emotions. The cheerful whistle sound befitting the song’s title and its highly addictive hook continue to linger in the listener’s ears.

Signs of success are already visible thanks to the group’s unique performance. The performance video for ‘I’m Going to Arrest You,’ uploaded to the group’s official channel on the 22nd, entered YouTube’s ‘Trending Music’ charts in Korea, Japan, and other countries just two days later, drawing significant attention even before the official audio was released. The video also appeared on YouTube’s ‘Daily Trending Music Videos’ charts dated October 22 in 11 countries and regions, including Korea, Japan, and Canada.

ILLIT will continue their active promotions to celebrate their comeback. They will appear on the KBS Kpop YouTube channel’s ‘Dolbak-il’ on the 25th and on Mnet Plus’s ‘Hide and Seek 2’ on the 30th.
