BLACKPINK's Jisoo won the Rising Star Award at the Cannes International Series Festival.

Jisoo attended the pink carpet event for the opening ceremony of the 9th Cannes International Series Festival, held in Cannes, France, on April 23 local time.

In the released photos, Jisoo appeared in a pink dress with a voluminous skirt and drew attention as she posed in front of foreign media cameras.

That day, Jisoo received the 'Madame Figaro Rising Star Award.' The organizers explained that she was selected because she is expanding her filmography through a variety of works while balancing music and acting activities.

On stage, Jisoo delivered her remarks in French, saying, "Thank you" (merci beaucoup).

Meanwhile, Jisoo recently came under fire after her name was mentioned in controversy related to a 'male sibling of a girl group member.' Amid allegations that the older brother of a famous girl group member sexually harassed a female BJ and committed domestic violence against his wife, speculation spread that the person in question might be Jisoo's older brother.

In response, Jisoo's side drew a line through her legal representative, saying, "She started her trainee life at a young age and became independent early, living apart from her family for a long time," and that she was "in no position to know about or be involved in that person's private life."

However, the controversy continued after the name of Jisoo's older brother appeared in the credits of the Netflix series 'Monthly Boyfriend' as the head of her agency. In response, the 'Monthly Boyfriend' team explained, "There was an error in the actor management listing due to a production company mistake, and it has been corrected after verification."
