The “CKJK” image released by global fashion brand Calvin Klein is being interpreted as hinting at a collaboration with BTS member Jungkook. Calvin Klein recently unveiled, through its official social media accounts, images of clothing and labels featuring a “CKJK” patch. Along with parts of a denim jacket, it also showed graphic elements reminiscent of Jungkook’s birth year, “97,” and his tattoos.

The connection between Jungkook and “CKJK” had already been spotted before this reveal. It later became known that Jungkook wore a jacket marked “CKJK” on a U.S. talk show in March, drawing attention. Although it had been thought of as merely “a simple stage outfit,” the newly released images have further fueled expectations of a possible collaboration.

Fans around the world are also buzzing about rumors of a collaboration product launch. Anticipation continues with comments such as “It’s finally coming” and “An early sellout is expected,” and if the collaboration becomes reality, competition to buy it is expected to be fierce.

The reason the Jungkook-Calvin Klein pairing is drawing attention lies in its “success story.” When Jungkook was selected as a “Calvin Klein Global Ambassador” in 2023, related keywords dominated real-time trending searches in 172 countries worldwide, proving its global buzz. Products he wore at the time also sold out immediately after their release, demonstrating the “Jungkook effect.”

As a fashionista, Jungkook’s presence was also quantified at last year’s New York Fashion Week.

At the time he attended the event, a single post generated more than “820,000 dollars” (1.1 billion won) in media exposure, and he also ranked overwhelmingly first in social media mentions during the same period. On the day of the event alone, more than 1.3 million related social media posts were generated, confirming his online influence as well.
