Opening hours are 09:00-18:00 from March to October and 09:00-17:00 from November to February. If you have a short itinerary, visiting on a weekday morning is the most efficient choice.

Photo Spots

  • Cheonjeongjeon King's Chair: You can sit on the king's chair inside Cheonjeongjeon and take a commemorative photo. Place the camera facing the front of the chair when shooting. It is best to go early in the morning when there are fewer people, so you can take photos without waiting.
  • Cheonjeongjeon Courtyard: Take a step back in the front courtyard so the entire Cheonjeongjeon building appears in the frame; this will capture the hanok roofline neatly. A composition facing the front of the building is the most stable. Soft morning light is ideal.
  • Costume Exhibition Space: The area displaying Baekje-era costumes is well suited for indoor background photos. If you stand at a diagonal angle with the exhibits beside you, the photo will look more natural. The relatively quiet morning to early afternoon is convenient for shooting.
  • Neungsa Five-Story Wooden Pagoda: The 38 m-tall five-story wooden pagoda visible when walking toward Neungsa is a signature landmark. To emphasize its height, try shooting from a low angle looking upward. On a clear morning with pretty blue skies, especially in winter, the background is crisp.
  • Hanok Street inside the complex: The path between the well-maintained hanok buildings is great for walking photos. Stand in the middle of the road and shoot while facing the end of the street to create a strong symmetrical composition. Early morning, when there are fewer visitors, is the cleanest time.

The night atmosphere is calm and romantic rather than flashy, making it well suited for families or visitors who want a quiet evening stroll. Lights are installed along the building exteriors and paths, so it is relatively easy to move around at night.

The recommended time to visit is within 1 to 2 hours after sunset. The lighting stands out the most, and you can leisurely explore the main areas before it gets too late. The night operation starts at 6:00 p.m. from April to November.

Seasonal night special programs or family-oriented evening events may be held, so checking the official schedule before visiting is recommended. The closed day is usually Monday, but if Monday is a public holiday, it may be open.

Seasonal Guide

The Buyeo Baekje Cultural Complex is a historical theme space whose atmosphere changes with each season. With many large outdoor areas such as Sabi Fortress, Neungsa, the Living Culture Village, and Wiryeseong, visitor satisfaction can vary greatly depending on the season and weather.

Spring: Cherry blossoms cover the complex, making it the most colorful season. The combination of old-style architecture and flowers makes it especially good for photography. It is a great time to stroll around and see the restored heritage sites.

Summer: The wide outdoor area is good for slow walks and enjoying experiential programs, but midday can be hot with strong sunlight. Morning or late afternoon visits are more comfortable, and bringing water and a hat is recommended.

Autumn: Traditional architecture and autumn foliage blend beautifully, creating the most calm and lovely scenery. It is a good season for walking, making it suitable for a leisurely half-day or more.

Winter: You can enjoy historical scenery in a quiet and peaceful atmosphere. Based on winter operating hours, it is usually open from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., so in the short-day season it is best not to arrive too late. If you go in the late afternoon, you may not have enough time to see some areas.

Practical tip: The recommended visiting time is about half a day to one day. If you want to take photos, the spring cherry blossom season and the autumn foliage season are especially good, and in winter it is efficient to enter early and see the main areas first during daylight.
