A 30-site campground set within Hwamyeong Ecological Park's 15,657㎡ area
Hwamyeong Auto Campground is a car campground located in Hwamyeong Ecological Park in Buk-gu, Busan. According to the official facility information, it operates a total of 30 sites across Zones A–E. Each site measures 8m×10m, electricity is available, and the campground has a convenience store, restrooms, a cooking area, and showers.
This is a riverside area along the Nakdonggang River near Hwamyeong New Town. The campground introduction specifies a total area of 15,657㎡ and 38 sports facilities across 11 types in the surrounding area, including baseball, soccer, tennis, basketball, and inline skating facilities, as well as a lotus garden, aquatic deck, water sports area, and outdoor swimming pool zone.

Costs and hours for Sites A–E: four people per site, up to six people
The usage fee table on the Busan City information page lists Sites A–E at 25,000 won per site per day, with four people included and up to six people permitted, one vehicle, and electricity available. However, the campground's official facility information lists weekday rates of 30,000 won and weekend rates of 35,000 won. It is therefore safest to recheck the amount shown for the specific date on the reservation screen before making payment.
Check-in is at 14:00 and check-out is at 12:00 the following day. Staying 2–4 hours beyond the designated time incurs 40% of the usage fee, while exceeding four hours incurs a full day's usage fee. An additional charge of 10,000 won applies to motorhomes, caravans, and trailers. Visitor vehicles must be parked in the parking lot at the entrance, and an additional vehicle costs 2,400 won per day. Additional visiting guests cost 2,500 won per person, and garbage bags cost 680 won.

Draw at 09:00 on the first of every month and real-time reservations through the end of the following month
Hwamyeong Auto Campground operates entirely by reservation. Real-time reservations are available from the current date through the end of the following month, while lottery reservations are accepted from 09:00 on the first day of each month until 09:00 on the third day. During the same period, each member may reserve only one site, and a reservation may cover a maximum of two nights and three days.
Because reservations must be verified at the management office upon check-in, bring identification confirming that you are the named reservation holder. The official notice requests that guests enter before 22:00 on the day of their reservation. Reservation and fee inquiries are handled from 09:00 to 18:00 at 051-337-2262 or 010-7626-2262. The official website is https://www.hwamyungcamping.com/.
Nakdonggang Bicycle Path 1425, entered beside Baseball Field Parking Lot P5
The road-name address is Nakdonggang Bicycle Path 1425, Buk-gu, Busan Metropolitan City (Deokcheon-dong), and the campground's official directions identify the destination as “beside Baseball Field Parking Lot P5.” Approach from the baseball field side rather than from the water sports facilities. Enter the address or “Hwamyeong Auto Campground” into your navigation system.
For public transportation, the official directions recommend traveling from Exit 1 of Gupo Station on Busan Metro Line 3, passing the Nakdonggang River Management Headquarters and heading toward the baseball field in Hwamyeong Ecological Park. Alternatively, travel in the same direction from Exit 5 of Deokcheon Station on Line 2. A separate route for caravans, motorhomes, and trailers leads through Deokcheon Interchange, into the ecological park from Gangbyeon-daero, and then to the left beside Baseball Field P5.

Quiet hours from 22:00 to 07:00 and a 600W power limit
Setting up tents and cooking outside the site are prohibited. Firewood and charcoal must be used in a fire pit or grill and then disposed of in the charcoal-only drum at the recycling area. Campfires and fireworks are prohibited, and the total power consumption at each site is limited to 600W. Plan ahead before using high-consumption equipment such as electric heaters, electric blankets, or electric rice cookers.
Quiet hours are from 22:00 to 07:00. Visitor vehicles may not enter the campground after 22:00, and the official rules recommend entering before 21:00 and refraining from using headlights or making noise by hammering in tent stakes late at night. Only small dogs weighing 8kg or less may enter. Walking pets inside the campground is prohibited; they must be carried while walking in the park.

Hwamyeong Ecological Park stretching from the Second Nakdonggang Bridge to Daedong-Hwamyeong Bridge
Hwamyeong Ecological Park, where Hwamyeong Auto Campground is located, is introduced in Busan City's Galmaet-gil information as a riverside ecological park stretching from the Second Nakdonggang Bridge to Daedong-Hwamyeong Bridge. The campground is therefore not a remote mountain camping ground, but a facility designed for enjoying riverside waterside areas close to the metro system and the residential area of the new town.
Section 6-4 of the Galmaet-gil trail is described as 1.6km from Gupo Station to Hwamyeong Ecological Park, taking approximately 20 minutes. The full Section 6-4 route runs 11.3km from Gupo Station to the East Gate of Geumjeongsanseong Fortress and takes about three hours. Before or after camping, you can take a short walk along the riverside in Hwamyeong Ecological Park or extend your route toward Hwamyeong Arboretum and Daecheoncheon.
Combine the lotus garden and aquatic deck, but do not confuse them with the water sports facilities
Hwamyeong Ecological Park includes a lotus garden and aquatic deck, making it easy to create a riverside walking route after setting up your tent. Busan City's camping information explains that water sports facilities, an outdoor swimming pool, and sports areas such as baseball and soccer fields are located around the campground. This does not mean that these facilities are automatically included in the camping fee. Check the relevant facility's same-day information for operating status and separate usage conditions.
If photography or walking is your priority, a practical plan is to walk the 1.6km section from Gupo Station to Hwamyeong Ecological Park before check-in and enter the campground at 14:00. Conversely, travelers expecting secluded camping in pristine nature or those who need to use large electric heating appliances may find the 600W limit, urban park setting, and quiet-hours rules after 22:00 unsuitable.
