“V, when you actually see him he’s ridiculously handsome… ‘Hello. Youngkwang hyung’ first greeting”

BTS member V's polite manner once again drew attention.

Former football player Kim Young-gwang shared an anecdote about meeting V on the YouTube channel 'I, Kim Young-gwang'. Kim Young-gwang recalled that V came over to greet him while he was watching BTS's performance on the halftime show of the World Cup final.

In the episode 'The Team That Deserved to Win Won | Live Commentary of the World Cup Final, Spain vs. Argentina', Kim Young-gwang watched the final together with former national team football player and commentator Kim Geun-hwan, and sports caster So Jun-il. The video also continued with commentary on football and suggestions for the future development of Korean football, and covered BTS's 'Dynamite' performance at the halftime show of the '2026 North and Central America World Cup Final', the first ever held in World Cup history.

When commentator Kim Geun-hwan admired the stage by saying, "Wow, V... he's really handsome," Kim Young-gwang recalled, "If you see him in person, he's unbelievably handsome. I work out, and the CEO of a junior fitness gym introduced me to him, and he came over to greet me. V..." He then described the greeting scene at the time, saying, "Such a famous person came up to me and said hello. 'Hello, older brother Young-gwang.' He said it like that. 'Hello, older brother Young-gwang...'"

When commentator Kim Geun-hwan said, "You should have gotten his contact information right away. You should have given him yours," Kim Young-gwang replied, "Then later we'll have to kick a ball together..." Kim Young-gwang appeared in the World Cup twice as a national team player, and during his active career his position was goalkeeper.
