V Confesses to Hearing Impairment: “I Can Hear Only 30% in One Ear”… Revealed After Two and a Half Years

BTS member V has confessed for the first time that he has been experiencing hearing problems for about two and a half years.

On the 12th, V held a live broadcast with Jungkook via the fan communication platform Weverse and chatted with fans.

While dining and talking with Jungkook that day, V mentioned the condition of his ears. He confessed, “I’ve never told ARMY, the name of our fandom, but has it been about two and a half years? My hearing got worse.”

Jungkook asked, “But didn’t it get better after you recently went to the hospital and had it removed? Or doesn’t it go back again?” V replied, “That’s right. In a month...”

V continued, “When one ear is at around 100, I can hear only about 30 with the other ear,” revealing a significant difference in hearing between his two ears.

When Jungkook expressed concern, saying, “You need to take good care of it,” V explained that he is continuing treatment, saying, “That’s why I’m taking medication regularly.”

In particular, V revealed that his symptoms became more severe during his military service. He said, “It actually got a little worse in the military, and since everyone was gathered with people who exercised a lot, they said it was somewhat a matter of mental strength,” adding, “After that, I was hypnotized into thinking it was a matter of mental strength.”

After hearing this, Jungkook urged him not to think that way, saying, “You shouldn’t do that,” and V reassured fans that he was receiving regular medical care, saying, “I’m diligently going to the hospital.”

While V personally confessed to the hearing problems he had never even disclosed to fans, Jungkook’s appearance beside him urging him to take care of his health also drew attention.

Meanwhile, BTS has recently been continuing its world tour, “ARIRANG,” in the United States. The group completed performances at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford on the 1st and 2nd and Gillette Stadium in Foxborough on the 5th and 6th, and will continue the tour at M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore on the 19th and 20th.
