Jungyeon of the group TWICE revealed the story of how she regained her health thanks to her older sister, actress Gong Seung-yeon.

tvN's entertainment program 'You Quiz on the Block' (hereinafter 'You Quiz') posted a teaser for the episode airing on the 20th on its official account on the 17th, saying, "Gong Seung-yeon, who was always a pillar of support by Jungyeon's side during her hardest times."

Jungyeon looked back on the time when she first began to notice something was wrong with her health, saying, "Back then, I was having a mentally difficult period." She said, "My sister held me and told me, 'Something seems a little off with your body. I think you need to go to the hospital,' and that was how I found out my exact diagnosis."

She continued, "It was the first time I had heard the word 'Cushing's.' I was very thankful that, thanks to my sister, I was able to receive treatment so well and become healthy again."

In 2020, Jungyeon was diagnosed with Cushing's syndrome due to steroid side effects during treatment for a cervical disc herniation, and she showed a rapid weight gain. Even so, she continued activities as a full TWICE member, and recently succeeded in dieting.

Jungyeon said through tears, "First of all, I feel so happy that my sister is doing so well and is so hot. I'm so grateful and sorry that she became my real older sister." Gong Seung-yeon, who watched the video, also shed tears, saying, "I didn't know she would say something like this."

Yoo Jae-suk asked, "When Jungyeon was so unwell that she had to stop activities for a while, did Seung-yeon ask her to live together?" In response, Gong Seung-yeon said, "At that time, Jungyeon was having such a hard time, and I was scared to leave her alone. Back then, when she was living in the dorm, I would go to the dorm and bring her to our house too, because I wanted to keep her by my side all the time. So I suggested we live together. I'm just so thankful that she has overcome it now."

She also added, "On top of that, hearing that my younger sister has become 'so pretty again' and 'has regained her prime' makes me really happy too. She's the kind of person who does everything properly and does it well, so I have no doubt I can trust her."
