Actress Jeon Ji-hyun caught the eye as a black-and-white goddess.

At 11 a.m. on the 15th (local time), a photo call event for the Midnight Screening invitation film 'The Colony' was held at the Palais des Festivals in Cannes, France. Jeon Ji-hyun, Koo Kyo-hwan, Ji Chang-wook, Shin Hyun-been, Kim Shin-rok, and director Yeon Sang-ho began the first schedule of the Cannes International Film Festival.

At the photo call time for 'The Colony' at the Cannes International Film Festival, the actors, including Jeon Ji-hyun, greeted reporters from around the world.

On this day, Jeon Ji-hyun drew attention with a black-and-white look, pairing a blouse with black pants and letting her long straight hair fall loosely.

The film 'The Colony' is about survivors isolated inside a building that has been sealed off by an unidentified outbreak, fighting against infected people who evolve in unpredictable ways. 'The Colony' will be unveiled for the first time through a world premiere screening at midnight that day.

Before the premiere screening, director Yeon Sang-ho and actors Jeon Ji-hyun, Koo Kyo-hwan, Ji Chang-wook, Shin Hyun-been, and Kim Shin-rok will walk the red carpet. After meeting fans on the red carpet in front of the Lumiere Theater, they will attend the film screening together.

In particular, Jeon Ji-hyun, who is returning to the screen for the first time in 11 years through 'The Colony', will receive the honor of entering Cannes for the first time.

Starting with his first feature-length animation, 'The King of Pigs' (2012, Directors' Fortnight), director Yeon Sang-ho has been invited to Cannes Film Festival for the fourth time, following 'Train to Busan' (2016, Midnight Screening section) and 'Peninsula' (2020, Official Selection). Director Yeon Sang-ho, who has left a strong impression on the global film industry with genre films that add a Korean-style zombie genre and original variations, is expected to once again prove the strength of Korean cinema through 'The Colony'.

Meanwhile, 'The Colony', which premiered for the first time through the Cannes Film Festival, will be released on the 21st.
