TEN leaving SM Entertainment, group activities will continue… "Could you continue to be with me going forward?"

NCT member Ten announced the end of his exclusive contract with SM Entertainment. However, Ten will continue group activities with NCT and WayV.

On the 6th, Ten posted in Korean, English, and Thai on his Instagram Story, saying, "I will continue to spend time with you as Ten of NCT and WayV," and at the same time announced, "I will begin a new challenge as a solo artist."

He expressed gratitude for the time he has spent since leaving Thailand to be active in Korea, and thanked the SM staff and fans. He explained that upon entering his 30s he reflected on what kind of person he wanted to be and ultimately decided on "a new challenge in a new environment," and after much conversation and consideration he decided to conclude the exclusive contract. He added that he will take responsibility for the upcoming changes and do his best.

On the same day, SM Entertainment announced that it is finalizing its exclusive contract with Ten as of April 8 and that it will coordinate so Ten can participate in future WayV and NCT group activities.

Ten passed through SM Rookies and debuted in 2016 with NCT U, and in 2019 began activities with WayV and SuperM. In 2024, he officially debuted as a solo artist with his first mini album TEN.
