Silica Gel Concludes a Solo Concert 'Newverse Size X'…A Full Retrospective of a 10-Year Debut

The band Silica Gel (Silica Gel) left a powerful impression with a highly polished performance.

Silica Gel (Kim Geon-jae, Kim Chun-chu, Kim Han-ju, Choi Woong-hui) held a solo concert, 'Syn.THE.Size X (Shinseosaizeu X),' on the 30th and 31st of last month at Hall 1 of Exhibition Hall 1 at Kintex in Goyang, Gyeonggi-do.

'Syn.THE.Size' is Silica Gel's original performance series centered on the concept of 'synthesize.' The show has been consistently loved for building a distinctive identity through an expanded musical world and audiovisual imagination.

Having consistently showcased a clear sense of planning in every performance, Silica Gel continued to receive praise for this concert as well by expanding the spaces of the past, present, and future around the keyword 'X,' offering audiences a new experience.

Silica Gel, which had heightened anticipation for the concert by partially revealing teaser videos and the setlist through social media, presented a rich repertoire ranging from its debut EP 'The Five Ways of a Weightless Deer Casually Inhaled Anew,' to its first full-length album 'Silica Gel' and the EP 'SiO2.nH2O.'

Adding songs that had received much love after release, such as 'Kyo181,' 'NO PAIN,' and 'Tik Tak Tok,' the band delivered a stage spanning the past 10 years, further adding meaning by presenting Silica Gel's direction as well. In particular, the concert surprised fans with an unreleased new song, raising the excitement at the venue even higher.

Silica Gel left an even more special message by gifting the audience the 'key' that had symbolically appeared in the teaser video on the day of the concert. Silica Gel, which once again firmly established itself as a 'trend-leading band' with a larger scale than its previous show and even more upgraded quality, plans to continue active and wide-ranging musical activities.

Meanwhile, Silica Gel broadened its musical reach by releasing the single album 'Namgung FEFERE (feat. Japanese Breakfast) (Namgung Pepele),' in July, and has been connecting with fans through music by participating in various festival stages in the second half of the year.
