Through a recent fan communication platform, Minami thanked fans who have loved leader Woni's YouTube by saying, “Awnwonjalbu (Hello, this is Woni, nice to meet you) was watched by so many people too. I'm so grateful that it has already surpassed 1 million views.”

Recene gained attention through videos released on leader Woni's YouTube channel, succeeded in a reverse run on music charts, and even performed “LOVEATTACK” on Mnet's “M Countdown.” In particular, the video of Minami visiting Geoje-do, Woni's hometown, with a gyaru character concept drew attention, and the catchphrase “Geoje Yaho” is also receiving much love.

Amid the overwhelming love, Minami expressed her gratitude while saying, “I think it's about time to say bye-bye to gyaru,” and “I'm not originally a gyaru anyway. Now I really need to promote my true self a lot more! Still, I think it was the right decision to do it because so many people seem to like my gyaru image, and I'm grateful to the PD too,” she said.

Minami continued, “I will work even harder on dancing and singing so that people can like my real self too! Honestly, I don't really even know what gyaru is, and there are so many different gyaru styles, so I think other people might feel uncomfortable if they think I'm just imitating it. But one thing is certain: the gyaru images I've shown so far were carefully studied and prepared for the people who enjoy gyaru videos, and the staff always prepared pretty outfits that suit me.
