[Official Statement] Mark ultimately leaves NCT; SM also departs 'exclusive contract termination'.

Mark, who had been active as a member of NCT 127 and NCT DREAM, is leaving the group and his agency.

On the 3rd, SM Entertainment stated, "We had lengthy and in-depth discussions with Mark regarding his future activities, and after sufficient mutual dialogue, we agreed to conclude the exclusive contract as of April 8."

Accordingly, Mark will end all NCT activities, including NCT 127 and NCT DREAM.

SM Entertainment said, "Since debuting with the group NCT in 2016, Mark has demonstrated outstanding capabilities not only in group activities but also as a solo artist, showing impressive performances over the past 10 years," adding, "We express our gratitude for the precious time we spent together and sincerely support Mark's future as he leaves the team and begins a new chapter."

They also added, "Going forward, NCT 127 will continue activities with seven members: Johnny, Taeyong, Yuta, Doyoung, Jaehyun, Jungwoo, and Haechan, and NCT DREAM will continue with six members: Renjun, Jeno, Haechan, Jaemin, Chenle, and Jisung."
