[Official] Silica Gel appears on Japan’s “THE FIRST TAKE” with 11.6 million subscribers…expanding their activity scope

Silica Gel (Kim Geonjae, Kim Chunchu, Kim Hanju, Choi Woonghee) appeared on the 15th on Japan's leading music channel 'THE FIRST TAKE,' which has 11.6 million subscribers, and performed a live version of their signature song 'NO PAIN.'

'THE FIRST TAKE' is conducted with a single live recording and is regarded as a stage that allows viewers to gauge an artist's musical abilities through minimal production. It is drawing the attention of music fans by featuring not only leading Japanese artists such as YOASOBI and Utada Hikaru, but also musicians from around the world, including Måneskin and Avril Lavigne.

Silica Gel is gaining attention as the first band composed only of Korean male members to appear on 'THE FIRST TAKE,' reaffirming its presence not only in Korea but also on Japan's music scene.

In an interview clip released after the live video, vocalist Kim Hanju explained why he chose 'NO PAIN,' saying, "I selected it because it gets the best reaction at live venues," and added his hope that "people watching the 'THE FIRST TAKE' video can sing this song together at offline performances as well."

Silica Gel previously drew 15,000 audience members through 'Syn.THE.Size X,' successfully wrapping up the largest solo concert in its career, and released a new single, 'BIG VOID,' on the 11th. Through this new release, Silica Gel is being well received for its distinctive sound that expands its musical spectrum beyond its existing rough and powerful 'iron-flavored sound.'

Meanwhile, Silica Gel will hold 'Syn.THE.Size X Japan Tour' in Tokyo on the 22nd and in Osaka on the 23rd, further expanding its connection with local fans in Japan.
