Did NewJeans record at Copenhagen Studios? Rumors of a comeback are “burning”

Rumors of the return of the group NewJeans, whose dispute is still ongoing for some members, have flared up once again.

On the 26th, overseas online communities and social networking services (SNS) were flooded with a calendar that appeared to be a studio schedule sheet, claiming that NewJeans had booked a music studio in Copenhagen, Denmark from the 13th to the 16th.

According to this calendar, the notation "ADOR/LL" appeared during the same period, supporting the claim that ADOR had booked the studio. Among some fans, speculation is growing that "NewJeans may have been recording new songs."

Around the same time, NewJeans members Haerin and Hyein were spotted in Copenhagen by internet users. One Chinese netizen said they saw them and said, "I told Hyein she was so pretty, and she kept smiling and saying thank you," adding, "When they left, they even waved goodbye to us."

The agency also acknowledged their visit to Copenhagen. On the 14th, ADOR said, "It is true that NewJeans members visited Copenhagen with staff." The agency explained that not only Haerin and Hyein, but also Hanni, had visited Copenhagen.

However, ADOR remained silent about the reason for the three members' overseas visit and their specific schedule.

Even at the time, speculation arose that the NewJeans members had visited Copenhagen in order to return, and now this studio schedule sheet is once again fueling related allegations.

Activity on NewJeans' official channels is also adding weight to the return rumors. On the 21st, the group's official SNS account released several recent photos along with congratulatory messages to mark Hyein's birthday. As Hyein's appearance in a backdrop that looked like a filming set became known, fans expressed delight, saying, "A new face of NewJeans meeting us after a long time."

Fans' expectations also grew because this was the first update from an account that had been dormant for about six months since the dispute between the NewJeans members and ADOR. Fans are continuing to analyze this, saying, "After overseas filming, haven't they entered a level of fully resuming activities?"

Of the five NewJeans members who left ADOR in November 2024, Haerin, Hyein, and Hanni stopped the dispute over their exclusive contracts and returned to ADOR last November. Danielle's return to ADOR fell through, and Minji is still discussing a return. ADOR filed a lawsuit worth 43 billion won against Danielle, whose negotiations broke down, and former ADOR CEO Min Hee-jin.
