Lee Sung-kyung 'Aladdin' audition, of course I thought I'd be eliminated… Abs? I've had them since ten years ago [The Seasons][★BamTView]

On 'The Seasons - Sung Si-kyung's Eardrum Boyfriend', actress Lee Sung-kyung revealed her passion for musicals.

In the second episode of KBS 2TV's 'The Seasons - Sung Si-kyung's Eardrum Boyfriend', which aired on the night of the 3rd, Lee Sung-kyung appeared as a guest.

When asked about her recent activities, Lee Sung-kyung replied, "I filmed a drama, but the schedule overlapped with performances for about a month. It's been a long time since I rested. And I performed in the musical 'Aladdin' for a year." Sung Si-kyung applauded and said, "I also went to see it; she did so well, and I heard she won a newcomer award at the Korean Musical Awards. Congratulations." Lee Sung-kyung previously won the Female Newcomer Award for the musical 'Aladdin' at the 10th Korean Musical Awards last January.

Lee Sung-kyung recalled the emotional moment, saying, "It was the first time I cried after receiving an award," and added, "Whether it's when I receive an award or when good or bad things happen, I've never cried in front of someone like that or let my tears fall, so it was overwhelming."

Sung Si-kyung also mentioned Lee Sung-kyung's costume in 'Aladdin' that revealed her abs. He asked, "It was so flashy that I just stared into empty space. Wasn't it burdensome?" Lee Sung-kyung answered, "Before the performances I felt burdened, but after performing for about a year I became comfortable. I've had my abs for well over ten years."

Lee Sung-kyung also shared her dream of performing on musical stages. She revealed, "Even before becoming an actress, my dream was musical theater. I admired it so much and loved it, but after debuting as an actress, I thought the stage was too precious to stand on without being fully prepared, so I put it off." She continued, "Actor Kang Hong-seok told me, 'Now is the time. You should audition,' and encouraged me to audition. I naturally thought I wouldn't make it. The selection had to be reviewed and confirmed in Broadway, but thankfully they chose me, so I had no choice but to work hard," explaining how she decided to challenge herself as a musical performer.

Along with a performance of 'A Whole New World' from 'Aladdin', Lee Sung-kyung showcased her singing ability by performing Beyoncé's 'Love On Top' and the duet "Miracle" by Kim Dong-ryul and Lee So-eun.
