Lee Chanhyuk's Founding Company, Welfare On Par with YG? Internal Titles Also Unique 'Princess-Saemteo Chief' (You Quiz on the Block)

The welfare level and unique honorific culture of the company founded by AKMU's Lee Chan-hyuk were revealed on a broadcast.

On April 1, the tvN variety show 'You Quiz on the Block' (Episode 337) featured AKMU's Lee Chan-hyuk and Lee Su-hyun as guests.

That day, it was reported that AKMU had wrapped up about 12 years with their former agency YG Entertainment and had established a new agency.

The company name is 'Yeonggam-ui Saemteo'. Lee Chan-hyuk explained that even before debut he repeatedly received the question "Where does inspiration come from?" and said he named it to mean "the place where we are is the spring of inspiration." He added that employees call each other 'Yeonggam-nim', meaning "people who give us inspiration."

The honorific culture is also unique. Lee Chan-hyuk is called 'Saemteo-jang', and Lee Su-hyun is called 'Princess'; he revealed that they even use the address "Princess" in actual work communications.

Yoo Jae-seok asked the managers on site about welfare, and one manager replied, "I thought it would be a downgrade from my previous workplace, but after doing it for two months it's better than I expected and it's something I could bet my life on."

Meanwhile, AKMU won SBS's 'K-pop Star Season 2' in 2012 and officially debuted in 2014. After terminating their exclusive contract with YG Entertainment last December, they established a one-person agency 'Yeonggam-ui Saemteo' with their manager and made a fresh start.
