Jung Kyung-ho Revisited for Past Remarks After Breakup With Suyeong, “I Couldn’t Even Ask Her About Swimming”

Amid the news that Sooyoung, a singer and actress who is a member of Girls' Generation, and actor Jung Kyung-ho have announced their breakup after 14 years of public dating, Jung Kyung-ho's recent remarks mentioning Sooyoung in an official interview are drawing renewed attention.

Jung Kyung-ho and Sooyoung announced their breakup on the 9th through their respective agencies. The agencies stated, "Their relationship naturally grew distant amid busy schedules, and they ultimately decided to break up."

The two, who maintained a public relationship for 14 years, consistently expressed affection for each other through interviews and other appearances. In particular, Jung Kyung-ho drew attention last September in a press interview for the film 'Boss' when he said, "When the movie is released, I will go to the theater with Sooyoung and watch it."

He also drew laughs when asked about performing a tango dance in the film and whether he had received dance lessons from Sooyoung, who was formerly in a girl group. He replied, "I didn't even dare to ask. She would have just said, 'I guess so.'"

Although the two had appeared affectionate at the time, the news of their breakup has left fans disappointed.

After the breakup, Sooyoung and Jung Kyung-ho plan to continue their respective activities. Sooyoung is set to appear on stage in the play 'The Merchant of Venice' from July 8 to August 9, while Jung Kyung-ho is reportedly busy filming the drama 'Tempting Romance,' which is scheduled to air next year.
