As controversy erupted over crime and personal-life allegations involving BLACKPINK Jisoo's older brother, an old anecdote Jisoo once shared about him has come back into the spotlight.

On the 20th, a video of a past episode Jisoo personally described in 2018 spread across online communities and SNS. In the video, Jisoo pointed to the scar above her eyebrow and said, “I got this scar because of my brother.”

Jisoo, who was five years old at the time, said her brother saw a disinfectant truck and scared her by saying, “If it touches disinfectant-truck smoke, you’ll die. It’s like a demon.” He told her to run and escape by jumping all the way to the top of the playground. Her brother urged her on, saying, “Don’t worry, I’m your brother,” and Jisoo hurriedly jumped upward, only to hit her head on the railing.

Jisoo explained what happened then, saying, “I was covered in blood. I injured my head and bled from my head, face, and all over my body.” She shouted, “Brother! I’m bleeding!” but her brother ignored her, saying, “So what? Just run away quickly!” and only after the disinfectant truck had passed did he say, “I saved you.”

Jisoo said she still cannot forget the expressions of the people she encountered on the way home, covered in blood. Meanwhile, Jisoo stated in a message on the 20th, “The matter currently being raised has absolutely nothing to do with the artist or BLISOO,” drawing a line. Her legal representative said that Jisoo had lived apart from her family for a long period since her trainee days, and that no family member received compensation or participated in decision-making during BLISOO's establishment. They also announced a strong response to the spread of false information.
