[TV Daily reporter Hwang Seo-yeon] As BLACKPINK marked its 10th anniversary amid controversy, Jisoo was seen in tears in front of fans while on her way home after completing a fan meeting event.

On the afternoon of the 8th, photos spread through online communities showing Jisoo, who had boarded a vehicle, looking at fans with tears in her eyes.

Fans have expressed both surprise and concern over Jisoo's unusual display of emotion, as she is known to rarely show tears.

The day marked the 10th anniversary of BLACKPINK's debut, and a 'Meet & Greet' event attended by 40 fans was held at the National Museum of Korea in Yongsan-gu, Seoul.

The event had already sparked backlash among the fandom because the agency, YG Entertainment, did not announce it until just two days before the 10th anniversary, limited attendance to 40 people, and failed to disclose the exact time and location. Eligibility to apply was also limited to Weverse paid membership subscribers, leading to controversy over fairness.

Furthermore, after news emerged that some members were staying overseas, criticism arose over the possibility that some members would not attend. The agency eventually announced officially, albeit belatedly, that all four members would participate in the event.

Later that morning, on the day of their debut anniversary and the event, Jisoo personally posted a message on the fan community platform Weverse to apologize and ease fans' concerns. She also apologized again during a live broadcast with the other members. Jisoo said, "We prepared a small event today and wanted to meet many people. We knew that the 10th anniversary was an important day, but there was a problem during the communication process. We are sorry."

As it became known that Jisoo was seen in tears while returning home after the offline event, fans have shown various reactions in light of the controversies that have arisen. The exact reason for her tears has not been confirmed.
