‘Former Girls’ Generation member’ Jessica makes a surprise appearance on SNL… Krystal delivers a daring, R-rated performance

Singer and actress Krystal showcased a powerful presence on 'SNL Korea.'

In Coupang Play's 'SNL Korea' Season 8, released on the 23rd, Krystal was portrayed delivering fearless acting to the point that it was hard to believe this was her first time on a live comedy stage.

That day, Krystal expressed her nerves, saying, "I've had a lot of experience on big stages, so I thought I wouldn't be nervous, but this is my first time on a stage like this, so I'm nervous." However, once the actual performance began, she dominated the set with ad-libs and a steady presence even amid unexpected live mishaps.

In the 'My Child's Social Life' segment, Krystal realistically portrayed a highly introverted office worker who cannot say a word even after missing the bus stop, drawing both empathy and laughter. In particular, the surprise special appearance by her older sister Jessica and the sister chemistry in the two-shot of the 'Jung sisters' delighted fans.

'Prison Girlfriend,' a parody of one of her signature works, also received a positive response. She not only exchanged ad-libs with the crew members including Ahn Young-mi, Lee Soo-ji, and Ji Ye-eun, but also naturally pulled off bold acting with Kim Won-hoon, lifting the studio atmosphere.

In 'How to Survive as a Queenka,' she exaggerated yet convincingly portrayed a clueless queenka trying to keep order at school, and in 'Krystal Is the Earth Protector,' she vividly brought to life a character who makes those around her sick of her excessive eco-friendly efforts. In particular, the scene where she wipes and eats tteokbokki sauce from Kwon Hyuk-soo's lips with her finger, followed by improvisational skits with Shin Dong-yup, Jung Sang-hoon, and Kim Won-hoon, brought strong laughter.

Krystal said, "It was so hectic that I don't even know how it passed, but it was really fun and a great experience," and added, "I hope it became a special memory for you as well."
