IU responds to the success of “Queen of Dae-gun”... a surprise gift—“Should I wear/carry it around?”

The released photos show a cake and a cute hat gift sent to IU by Disney+. Disney+, the global platform for 'The Grand Prince's Wife of the 21st Century,' presented a cake featuring the character Seong Hee-joo, saying, "Get ready to become the global No. 1!" and "We will stay together to the very end so that the fantastic chemistry between actress IU and Disney+ reaches hearts all over the world." IU, who wore a Disney Mickey Mouse hat among the additional gifts, also added a proof shot, saying, "Should I wear this?" drawing attention.

'The Grand Prince's Wife of the 21st Century' portrays a romance of fate, class-breaking, and breaking social status, set in a 21st-century constitutional monarchy of the Republic of Korea. IU plays Seong Hee-joo, a chaebol who aims for a rise in status, while Byeon Woo-seok, who caused a syndrome with 'Lovely Runner,' is passionately acting as Prince Ian, a man who is the king's son but cannot have anything.

According to FlixPatrol, an OTT ranking site, Disney+'s TOP10 TV show category recently placed 'The Grand Prince's Wife of the 21st Century' at No. 4 globally and No. 1 among non-English titles. In Asia, including Korea, Japan, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Singapore, it has maintained the No. 1 spot since its release.

Meanwhile, 'The Grand Prince's Wife of the 21st Century' surpassed 11% ratings in just four episodes, according to Nielsen Korea, and recorded double digits, drawing anticipation for how high the ratings will go in the future.
