The National Heritage Administration will cooperate with the foundation where singer G-Dragon (Kwon Ji-yong) serves as honorary chairman for the 48th UNESCO World Heritage Committee meeting, which will be held in Busan this July.

The National Heritage Administration announced on the 27th that it had signed a memorandum of understanding with the Just Peace Foundation to cooperate with each other for the successful hosting of the World Heritage Committee.

The Just Peace Foundation is a public-interest foundation established in 2024 at G-Dragon's suggestion. A compound word of "justice" and "peace," it is led by G-Dragon, who donated his copyrights to help establish the foundation, and currently serves as honorary chairman.

Under this agreement, the National Heritage Administration plans to cooperate with the Just Peace Foundation for the successful hosting of the World Heritage Committee. It also plans to organize and operate a UNESCO World Heritage Fund campaign.

As a key point of the agreement, the National Heritage Administration mentioned "the participation of the Just Peace Foundation and affiliated figures in the World Heritage Committee." However, it was cautious in saying that "specific matters will be decided through consultation."

Hur Min, head of the National Heritage Administration, said, "By utilizing the know-how accumulated through our social contribution projects over the years, we expect to contribute to raising understanding and interest in World Heritage and the World Heritage Fund."

Oh Hee-young, CEO of the Just Peace Foundation, said, "We will embody the foundation's core value of realizing peace through small acts of participation," and added, "We will lend our support for the successful hosting of the World Heritage Committee."

Meanwhile, G-Dragon heated up the "Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival," held in Indio, California, on the 19th.
