Kangin, a member of Super Junior, ends his hiatus… "Thanks to the fans, I sang again and gained courage" ('Kangin')

Kangin, formerly of the group Super Junior, is releasing a new song and is officially resuming activities as a singer.

On the 6th, a video titled "Kangin's Self Interview" was posted on the YouTube channel "Kangin".

In the video, Kangin, ahead of the release of 'LOVE IS PAIN', conducted an interview and said, "It's really been such a long time since I've greeted you."

Regarding fan meetings, he said, "Thankfully, starting with the Philippines this year, I'll be doing a fan meeting tour. At those events, although it's not fully finished yet, there was an opportunity to briefly play a song I made in front of the fans."

Explaining the reason for releasing the new song, he said, "Thanks to the support you gave me at the events, I gained the courage to properly show it to you. I had a lot of concerns, but thinking of the fans who waited for such a long time, I decided to release it as a digital single."

He also told fans, "I believe that being able to sing again and this album release are all thanks to you. I am sincerely grateful. I will work hard to present a better version of myself to you in the future."

Meanwhile, Kangin debuted with Super Junior in 2005 but was later embroiled in controversies including assault allegations, a hit-and-run after drunk driving, a second drunk-driving incident, and allegations of assaulting his girlfriend. He withdrew from Super Junior in 2019 and went into seclusion, and has recently resumed activities through opening a YouTube channel and other efforts.
