Former girl group member and announcer, undergoes shamanic possession for her family and breaks down in tears: "I want to live normally again"

On the 1st, MBN 'Teukjong Sesang' uploaded a preview video titled 'Former girl group member-turned announcer Park Seo-hwi receives shinnaerim for her family'. In the video, Park Seo-hwi explained why she received shinnaerim and broke down in tears.

A Korea University graduate, Park Seo-hwi debuted in 2013 as a member of the girl group LPG, later transitioned to an announcer and has been active on various broadcasts. In 2024 she also appeared on SBS 'Gol Ttaerineun Geunyeodeul'.

However, Park Seo-hwi recently revealed she received shinnaerim and has begun walking the path of a shaman, shocking viewers. She recalled, "I kept dreaming that members of my household were dying. I went to get a fortune-telling, and the first words were 'You're full of spirits'."

Ultimately choosing to receive shinnaerim, Park Seo-hwi cried, "What if I don't accept it? My family is everything to me. I have lived for my family," adding, "I also just want to continue living and working in broadcasting like before. But I have to follow this path."

Park Seo-hwi's father expressed complicated feelings, saying his daughter began avoiding the family after receiving shinnaerim. He said, "It hurts. The path of a mudang (shamanic practitioner) is not easy; it's a very difficult road." He added, "She studied well, graduated from a prestigious university, and we raised her so she wouldn't be lacking compared to others; it's so pitiful," and he cried.
