[Dispatch=Jung Tae-yun, Reporter] Actor Lee Jong-suk and IU have broken up. After four years of public dating, they have decided to go their separate ways.

Lee Jong-suk and IU's agencies told Dispatch on the 10th, "The two recently broke up. They decided to remain good senior-junior colleagues," they said.

The two first met in 2012 as MCs for SBS-TV's "Inkigayo." After spending 10 years as colleagues, they developed into a couple in 2022.

But they were too busy to keep the relationship going. A close source to the two said, "Due to busy schedules, their meetings decreased and they ended the relationship."

Meanwhile, Lee Jong-suk is ahead of the release of Disney+ Original series "The Remarried Empress." He has also confirmed his appearance in the live-action adaptation of Naver's popular web novel "Lee Seop's Romance."

IU has finished filming MBC-TV's "The 21st Century Grand Prince's Wife" and is focusing on preparing a new album. She is also set to hold a concert in September at the main stadium of Goyang Sports Complex.
