(Seoul=News1) Reporter Hwang Mi-hyun = Iven alumnus Yu Seung-eon will join the new YH Entertainment boy group composed of Jang Hao, Riki, Kim Gyu-bin, and Han Yoo-jin. They have finalized the lineup as a five-member team and are targeting a debut in May.
According to News1 reporting on the 3rd, Yu Seung-eon was recently named as a final member of the rookie boy group centered on Jang Hao, Riki, Kim Gyu-bin, and Han Yoo-jin, who are ZeroBaseOne alumni and are under YH Entertainment.
Yu Seung-eon is a skilled artist who gained recognition for his outstanding vocal ability through Mnet's 2023 survival program 'Boys Planet' (BOYS PLANET). After the program ended, he promoted with the derived group Iven, building a solid fandom and establishing himself as the team's main vocalist. Yu Seung-eon withdrew from Iven in December last year and returned to YH Entertainment.
The lineup that Yu Seung-eon is newly joining is dazzling. The group brings together Jang Hao, Riki, Kim Gyu-bin, and Han Yoo-jin, who also came from 'Boys Planet' and gained global popularity as members of ZeroBaseOne. These performers, who were noted for their overwhelming skills and visuals during the survival show, are already attracting strong interest from the music industry for the synergy they will display together with Yu Seung-eon.
Meanwhile, the nine-member project group ZeroBaseOne, selected through 'Boys Planet', was originally scheduled to have an activity period of 2 years and 6 months, but due to explosive popularity extended its activity period by two months shortly before the scheduled end. After the contract period ended, the four members affiliated with YH returned to their original agency, YH Entertainment, and are set to launch a new boy group together with Yu Seung-eon.
