DAY6 Wonpil, a teary-eyed look… Behind-the-scenes cuts from the 'Love Ward' MV released

DAY6 (Day Six) Wonpil released behind-the-scenes photos from his new single's music video.

Wonpil made his solo comeback on March 30 by releasing his first mini album 'Unpiltered' and the title track 'Love Ward'. As the title suggests, the album's title track 'Love Ward', which captures Wonpil's inner self naturally without filters, depicts the desperate heart crying out from the pain of undying love. The song moves from guitar melodies to a swelling band sound, and Wonpil's emotionally pleading vocals combine to win the love of fans at home and abroad.

On the 4th, JYP Entertainment responded to the interest by releasing behind-the-scenes images from the music video for the new song 'Love Ward'. In the music video, Wonpil revealed heartbreaking longing—unable to let go of someone even in precarious situations—through delicate emotional acting that shifts from a forced smile to sobbing. Caught on the set, Wonpil met the camera with teary eyes full of melancholic emotion, and he expressed emptiness and loneliness in his own way, completing the atmosphere of 'Love Ward'.

Wonpil's new release 'Unpiltered', his first release in about four years since his solo debut full-length album 'Pilmography' in February 2022, is continuing to perform well. It topped the Circle Chart daily retail album chart for March 30 and the Hanteo Chart daily album chart for March 31, and on April 1 it reached number one on both charts. All tracks included — the title track 'Love Ward', 'Toxic Love', 'I've Become an Adult', 'Up All Night', 'Step by Step', 'Not a Million Flowers', and 'Piano' — entered the Melon Top 100 chart on the day of release.

On April 5, a Sing-Along Day will be held to complete Wonpil's album 'Unpiltered' together with the voices of My Day (fandom name: Maidei). From May 1 to 3, over three days, he will hold his solo concert in about four years and two months, "WONPIL SOLO CONCERT 'Unpiltered'", at Jamsil Indoor Gymnasium, Songpa-gu, Seoul.
