BTS’s Jin explains why his solo album credits were missing: “At the time, it was the best choice”

Jin of the group BTS commented on being left out of the album credits.

In an interview with Rolling Stone, which was released publicly, BTS's Jin shared various stories about the upcoming group album.

When asked, "I heard about 100 songs were recorded for the album, but there must be quite a few songwriting credits on the tracks that did not make it onto the album," Jin replied, "It's an episode I have not talked about anywhere, but there was nothing I worked on."

He explained, "I was on a solo tour. By the time I arrived at the place where the members were having sessions, over a hundred songs had already been made, and I think I spent about a week to 10 days doing test recordings for the songs that were narrowed down from among them. By the time that was over, the session had ended. The schedule had been set three months before the session started, and my tour had been scheduled months before that. The timing did not match."

He added, "The members were also in the military, and I think the fans would be bored, so all the songs had already been completed during the time we were making efforts to soothe the fans' feelings."

When the host said, "It would have been nice if there had been a few more songwriting credits here," Jin said, "I think I would have wanted that too, but the members did so well. If I had been greedy and said I should be included too and delayed the session by a few more months, I think our interview would be happening a few months from now instead of now. Wouldn't the fans have been bored during those few months? It's disappointing, but at the time I think it was the best choice."
