(Seoul=News1) Reporter Kim Min-ji = BTS's mega-hit song 'Dynamite' (Dynamite) has surpassed a cumulative 900 million plays in Japan.

According to an article on the latest Oricon Weekly Streaming Rankings announced on the 10th (June 15 edition / tally period June 1-7), BTS's song 'Dynamite' exceeded a cumulative 900 million plays as of this week.

This is the eighth song in Oricon history to surpass 900 million streams overall, and the first such record by an overseas artist. BTS also became the sixth artist in chart history to reach 900 million views, following local top artists such as Yoasobi, Yuuri, Official Hige Dandism, and Mrs. Green Apple.

BTS's 'Permission to Dance' also surpassed 500 million cumulative plays on the chart released on the same day. Following 'Dynamite' and 'Butter', it became the third song overall to reach 500 million streams. BTS is also the only overseas act to surpass 500 million cumulative streams with a single song.

Meanwhile, since their debut in 2013, BTS has released songs such as 'Spring Day', 'Dynamite', 'Butter', 'A Supplementary Story: You Never Walk Alone', 'DNA', 'Permission to Dance', 'I Need U', 'IDOL', 'Fake Love', and 'Fire', gaining huge popularity not only in Korea but also overseas.
