BTS V’s self-composed song chosen by the French president appears in a welcome video for the G7 summit

A self-composed song by BTS's V appeared on the French president's official social media.
French President Emmanuel Macron released a video showing the G7 summit scene held in Evian, France, on June 17 (Korea time), along with the message, "Welcome!" on his official social media.
President Macron of France, the host country of the G7 summit, greeted leaders from each country at the welcome event for invited nations.
Images of President Lee Jae-myung, who attended the event, were also included. In particular, the video drew attention because "Into the Sun," included in BTS's 5th full-length album "ARIRANG," was used as background music.
"Into the Sun" is an acoustic-based soul pop rock track in which V participated in both lyrics and composition. The song centers on a confession of "I will run to you," and V previously shared the behind-the-scenes story of the song's creation, saying, "On the way home from working out, I heard a theme and inspiration suddenly struck me at that moment, so I immediately tried singing the song. The reaction at the studio was good, and they liked the overall melody, so it was able to be included on this album."
Earlier, Rolling Stone described "Into the Sun" as a dazzling finale that feels like gazing at a magnificent sunset together, while The New York Times praised it as a hypnotic track with a mournful guitar, whistling, and an addictive chorus.
