BTS’s L.A. “美” Concert: From Day One, a Major Sound Disaster… Jungkook, Angry SNS [Star Issue]

Boy group BTS member Jungkook expressed anger over a concert sound system incident.

On the 26th, Jungkook stated on his personal SNS, "The sound issue at Magic Shop yesterday was real. No worries, no no. I'll get it under control starting today."

He also said, "Sorry to the ARMY (fandom name) who came to the show yesterday," adding, "I'm angry too."

BTS has been holding the concert 'BTS WORLD TOUR 'ARIRANG' IN TAMPA' at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida, USA, from the 25th to the 28th.

However, a sound accident occurred from the first day of the first performance on the 25th. During the stage of 'Magic Shop,' released in May 2018, the sound was not properly captured, creating a situation in which Jungkook could not find the pitch or seemed to be singing another song.

In the end, after that stage ended, Jungkook sang his part again acappella after the sound incident, drawing a strong response from the audience.

BTS's U.S. concert is the first in about four years since 'BTS PERMISSION TO DANCE ON STAGE,' held in Las Vegas in April 2022. Local broadcasters also prepared special programs. FOX 13 Tampa Bay aired 'K-Pop: The Seoul Reach.' on the 25th and 26th, highlighting BTS's global influence on K-pop, the spread of Korean culture, and the presence of ARMY.

Another broadcaster, 10 Tampa Bay News, projected that this performance would generate an economic effect of about 800 million to 900 million dollars in the Tampa area (approximately 1.2 trillion to 1.3 trillion won in Korean currency).

BTS will continue its North American tour on May 2-3 at Sun Bowl Stadium in El Paso. This venue is recorded as the first place in Korea where a solo concert by a Korean singer was held.
