BTS Paris Concert Draws 92,000 Audiences Per Show… President Macron and His Wife Also Attended

The group BTS (BTS), currently on a world tour, has broken the record for the highest single-show attendance in Paris, France. A single performance drew a staggering 92,000 fans.

BTS held their new world tour 'Arirang' (ARIRANG) on the 18th (local time) at the Stade de France in Paris, France. Paris, which closed out their 2019 tour 'LOVE YOURSELF: SPEAK YOURSELF' in Europe, was also the final city on their European tour seven years later.

BTS performed 10 shows across five cities — Madrid, Spain; Brussels, Belgium; London, United Kingdom; Munich, Germany; and Paris, France — meeting a total of 717,000 fans. All shows sold out quickly as soon as ticket sales began.

The Paris concerts held over two days on the 17th and 18th drew 92,000 fans per show. Their agency, BigHit Music, explained that this was the largest audience for a single BTS concert among all concerts the group has held to date. On the 17th, French President Emmanuel Macron and his wife attended, drawing attention.

BTS said, "We were truly happy, and we were grateful and moved by the fact that so many people love us. We were so happy from the beginning of the European tour all the way to Paris. We were so moved that we wondered when we would ever get to perform in front of so many people again," tearing up.

They also prepared a brief French greeting. The members said, "A city of fashion, gastronomy, and romance. And a city with the best ARMY (the official fan club name). Paris has everything we love. We will definitely come back."

Jin, who had been selected as a torchbearer for the '2024 Paris Summer Olympics,' recalled that time and said, "I was there with you on those beautiful streets, and I'm so happy that we can be together again. Thank you for making such a wonderful day for us."

The influential local outlet Le Monde described BTS as "a group that has elevated K-pop to the top of the global music industry" and then analyzed in depth their journey from debut to the present. It assessed that after their hiatus, they became even more tightly united and stronger, and seem to have gained greater confidence in the team's identity.

Le Parisien praised the concert as an explosive and rich show. Earlier, the German daily Die Welt highlighted BTS's return and the global spread of K-pop. It introduced them as one of the most successful pop groups of the current era and as a representative example that transcends Western-centered cultural trends.

According to the agency, BTS once again set a new record through this 'Arirang' tour. They became the first Korean singers to perform at King Baudouin Stadium in Brussels and Allianz Arena in Munich. Concert organizer Live Nation announced that BTS drew the largest per-show audience among all concerts ever held at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London.

After successfully wrapping up their European tour, BTS will serve as co-headliners at the halftime show for the '2026 FIFA North and Central America World Cup™' final, which will be held at New York New Jersey Stadium in the United States on the 20th (Korean time).

They will take the stage alongside legendary pop stars Madonna, Shakira, and Justin Bieber. This will be the first-ever final halftime performance in World Cup history.
