BTS Jungkook’s “ hooligan ” reaches 120 million views… World No. 2 after Messi

BTS member Jungkook’s ‘Hooligan’ challenge video has surpassed 120 million views.

The ‘Hooligan’ challenge video, which Jungkook posted on his personal SNS on April 22 with the caption, “I wanted to try it,” has recorded 120 million views.

The video recorded 12.26 million likes and 2.58 million reposts (shares). With these numbers, it ranked second among the most reposted posts in Instagram history. The No. 1 spot belongs to Lionel Messi (2.6 million reposts), surpassing Taylor Swift, who previously held second place with 2.5 million reposts.

The video drew attention by surpassing 80 million views in just one day after release and 100 million views in four days. The video shows Jungkook riding a bike through the city to the background music of ‘Hooligan,’ a track from BTS’s fifth full-length album ‘Arirang (ARIRANG).’

Jungkook is also said to have participated in writing and composing ‘Hooligan.’

Another bike video released on May 24 also drew strong interest, recording 49.3 million views. He also showed his affection for bikes by sharing photos that appeared to feature Ducati’s ‘Panigale V4 S’ and BMW Motorrad’s ‘M1000RR.’

Meanwhile, Jungkook recently became the first Asian group or solo artist to surpass 3 billion cumulative streams on Spotify, the world’s largest music streaming platform, with his first solo track, ‘Seven.’
