Rosé, a member of BLACKPINK, has spoken out about the controversy surrounding the group's 10th debut anniversary celebration.

On the 11th, Rosé posted on her personal social media, saying, "I had a lot on my mind over the past few days, so I couldn't write sooner. As we celebrated this 10th anniversary, which I had been waiting for just as much as BLINK [the fandom name], I felt deeply disappointed."

She continued, "Because I could empathize with how the fans felt, it took me a little while to organize my thoughts about what to say first. I feel heavy-hearted that I may have made you feel even lonelier during that time," apologizing to her fans.

She said, "This 10 years that I have grown with BLINK, cherished one another, and walked alongside you also holds great meaning for me, and more than anything, I wanted to celebrate together. I wanted that one day to be a time when we could all smile and be happy, but I'm filled with regret that things did not work out as I had hoped."

She added, "I was so grateful and overwhelmed with happiness that, over these 10 years, we have received so much love and become a relationship in which we can give and receive love from one another. It was only after I came home alone that all my emotions came rushing in," adding, "I'm sorry that this message was delayed because it took me time to compose myself, and I couldn't bring myself to speak more easily."

Rosé said, "It was an anniversary for our BLACKPINK, who have worked hard for 10 years, and for BLINK, who have given us so much love. Although we were all disappointed, let's sincerely celebrate once again and continue making many more wonderful memories together."

Previously, BLACKPINK held a MEET & GREET event at the National Museum of Korea in Yongsan District, Seoul, on the 8th to mark their 10th debut anniversary. However, the event was beset by various controversies in the lead-up to the fan event.

YG Entertainment, the group's agency, did not announce the event until two days before it was held and did not disclose the specific time or location. In addition, fans' dissatisfaction grew after the agency announced that "only some members who are able to attend based on their schedules will participate."

Although it was later confirmed that all four members would attend, disappointment surrounding the event continued. There were only 40 invitees, and the event lasted just over 30 minutes, leading to continued criticism that it failed to provide sufficient opportunity for communication with fans.

Furthermore, complaints are being filed after reports emerged that citizens experienced inconvenience during the event, including the restriction of some areas and changes to workshop schedules.
