aespa Giselle X Ningning Reveal Couple Belly Button Piercings… 'Bone-Thin' Ant-Waist Draws Attention

[Sports Chosun reporter Kim So-hee] aespa members Ningning and Giselle revealed the story behind their so-called "couple navel piercings."

On the 30th of last month, a video titled "[R(ae)cord] Chobaz's Friendship Piercing Story | aespa 'LEMONADE' Music Show Behind the Scenes" was uploaded to aespa's official YouTube channel.

In the video, Giselle revealed that she and Ningning had gotten navel piercings, saying, "We got navel piercings."

Ningning said, "We just did it on a whim," and Giselle also explained the situation at the time, saying, "I was shopping on a day off a few days ago and just (did it)."

Giselle then explained the reason they got piercings, saying, "I originally wanted a navel piercing, but I was scared and was going to skip it. Then I asked Ning, 'Do you want to get piercings?' and she said, 'Sure.'" She added, "So I was like, 'Ah, I'm done for,' and just walked over and got the piercing."

She went on to say, "We said the person who lost rock-paper-scissors would go first, and I lost again. So I went first." She laughed and added, "It didn't hurt as much as I expected, and Ning handled it well too. It didn't hurt much."

However, Giselle also shared the discomfort she experienced after getting the piercing. She said, "Yesterday, I wore a uniform-style outfit, and it kept rubbing against it. It hurt so much during rehearsal, so I took it out," revealing the behind-the-scenes story and drawing laughter.

Meanwhile, aespa released their second full-length album, 'LEMONADE,' on May 29. 'LEMONADE' contains a total of 10 tracks across various genres, including dance, rock, hyper-pop, medium-tempo R&B, and pop rock, featuring the title track of the same name and the pre-released song 'WDA (Whole Different Animal) (Feat. G-DRAGON)' (Whole Different Animal).
