KAI Aviation Center is South Korea’s first educational donation experience learning center, established by Korea Aerospace Industries (KAI) in July 2012. Bernoulli’s principle, oxidation and reduction, Pascal’s principle, electromagnetic induction, PAV, and helicopter principles are presented as course topics, combining theory and experiential learning, simulator rides, and factory tours.

An affiliated camp with Kyungsung University in February 2025 was also held from 11:00 to 18:00. KAI Aerospace Museum is located at the same address, 78, Gongdan 1-ro, as the center. The museum is a Class 1 specialized private museum that opened on August 28, 2002. It covers 46,281㎡ and consists of the Aerospace Hall, the Freedom Defense Hall, and an outdoor exhibition area. If you schedule an Aviation Camp, it is efficient to check whether a museum visit can be arranged before or after the camp.
The outdoor exhibition area features 27 full-size aircraft, consisting of 15 aircraft loaned by the Republic of Korea Air Force and 12 owned by the museum. Five tanks, two artillery pieces, searchlights, two Nike missiles, two armored vehicles and jeeps, and a J47-GE-27 engine are also on display. Whether visitors can enter the interiors of the VC-54 presidential aircraft and the C-123K and C-124C may vary according to the museum’s guidance on the day.

The Sacheon Sarang City Tour aviation industry tourism course operated by the Korea Tourism Organization departs from Sacheon Intercity Bus Terminal and connects the Korea Aviation Service maintenance building, KAI Aviation Center, KAI fixed-wing and rotary-wing buildings, and the Sacheon Aerospace Science Museum and Aerospace Museum. It then continues to Sacheon Ocean Cable Car, Samcheonpo Bridge Park, the Rainbow Coastal Road, and Daepo Port.
This course is special because it is introduced as the only experiential course in South Korea where visitors can see fighter jet and helicopter manufacturing plants together with an aircraft maintenance site. However, the Aviation Center and production facilities may not allow immediate on-site entry like ordinary tourist attractions, so the city tour’s operating dates and the scope of included visits must be confirmed separately.
