Photo Spots
- Ocean-view point from Sanbangsan Rest Area toward Yongmeori Coast
This is one of the best photo spots before or after visiting Sanbanggulsa. If you walk about 10 minutes from Sanbangsan Rest Area toward the sea, you can capture both Sanbangsan and the coastline in one frame.
Recommended composition: do not face away from the sea; instead, shoot while facing Sanbangsan, or conversely, stand facing the coast so that Sanbangsan appears to the side.
Recommended time: late afternoon to sunset. The soft light makes the outline of Sanbangsan and the color of the sea especially beautiful. - Coastal point overlooking Yongmeori Coast
This is a spot where you can capture Yongmeori Coast, shaped like a dragon entering the sea, from the coastline in front of Sanbangsan. It is easy to find while descending toward the coast from the Sanbanggulsa area.
Recommended composition: face the coast directly or at an angle so that the cliff line extends long across the frame. For portrait shots, stand facing the sea and shoot from the side to make the scenery stand out.
Recommended time: later in the afternoon. As shadows deepen, the texture of the cliffs becomes more distinct. - Wide-shot point capturing Sanbangsan and the sea together
If you shoot in the open area near the beach in front of Sanbangsan, you can capture the representative scenery around Sanbanggulsa in one photo.
Recommended composition: frame the shot toward the west or southwest coast so that Sanbangsan is on one side and the sea on the other.
Recommended time: afternoon on a clear day. The color contrast between the sky and sea is excellent and ideal for landscape photography.
