Shinhwa Theme Park is a character-themed amusement park inside Jeju Shinhwa World in Andeok-myeon, Seogwipo. It features 15 attractions across Rotary Park, Oscar New World, and LARVA Adventure Village. Opened on September 30, 2017, it offers Dancing Oscar, introduced as Jeju’s only roller coaster, along with facilities featuring LARVA characters.
A 280,000㎡ theme park that first opened at Shinhwa History Park on September 30, 2017
Shinhwa Theme Park opened on September 30, 2017, as one of the initial facilities of the Jeju Shinhwa World integrated resort. According to reports at the time, the site covered 280,000㎡ and featured 15 rides and attractions. Located within Shinhwa History Park in Andeok-myeon, southwestern Jeju, it is more convenient for combining with rental-car routes and resort accommodations than urban amusement parks in Jeju City.
The park's characters are based on Larva, Rotary Park, Café Wingcle, and Oscar's Oasis from TUBAn, a Korean animation production company. Official information divides the route into Rotary Park, Oscar New World, and Larva Adventure Village, and includes Dancing Oscar, described as Jeju's only roller coaster.

On operating days from 10:00 to 19:30, check the all-day pass conditions before entering
The standard operating hours shown on the official theme park page are 10:00–19:30. As they may change depending on the season, weather, or events, it is safest to check the official day's operating notices and whether the rides are operating before visiting. No regular closing days are currently listed, and the official page provides separate information about rides operating in rainy weather.
All-day pass prices vary according to the season and discount eligibility. The 2026 regular-season on-site Shinhan Card promotion lists an all-day pass at KRW 27,000, while the winter season price is KRW 20,000, representing discounts of 40% and 55% from the standard price, respectively. The discount applies only to on-site payment at the theme park ticket box, covers up to four people per card transaction, and cannot be combined with other discount coupons.
- Infants under 36 months may enter free of charge when documentary proof is presented
- Groups of 15 or more are advised to make an online group reservation before visiting
- Depending on the promotion, purchased tickets may need to be used on the purchase date
From Dancing Oscar to the Larva Suite Carousel: how to choose among the three zones
If you want to start with intense spinning and high-speed rides, check out Dancing Oscar, Bugs Dance, Oscar Spin & Bump, and Oscar Dragon in Oscar New World. The official list also includes Flying Waldo, so groups with elementary-school-age children or older should first check the height restrictions and whether any rides are closed that day on the guide map after purchasing tickets.
The Larva-focused route includes Larva World Express, Larva Space Adventure, Larva Suite Carousel, Flying Larva, and Adventure Play Ground. Rotary Park has Find Larva and the Rotary Park 4D Theater, and according to the official information, both rides operate free of charge. When accompanying a small child, check the “Enjoy According to Your Child’s Height” guide before purchasing an all-day pass to estimate how many facilities the child can actually use.

The simplest bus access is to get off at the Jeju Shinhwa World Theme Park stop
The road-name address is F303, 98 Sinhwareoksaro 304beon-gil, Andeok-myeon, Seogwipo-si, Jeju Special Self-Governing Province. The resort's main address is 38 Sinhwareoksaro 304beon-gil, Seogwipo-si, and the main telephone number is 1670-8800. Overseas visitors should first keep in mind that this is not a location within walking distance directly from Jeju Airport.
For bus travel, the recommended route has been to take buses 151, 152, or 600 from the Jeju Airport stop toward Daejeong or Hwasun, then transfer at Donggwang Transfer Stop. After transferring, take bus 255, 820-2, 771-1, 771-2, 784-1, or 784-2 and get off at the “Jeju Shinhwa World Theme Park” stop. From Jeju Intercity Bus Terminal, a route using bus 255 and getting off at the same stop is also provided.
- If you continue on buses 151 or 152, getting off at the “Jeju Shinhwa World Entrance” stop may require approximately 15–20 minutes of walking to the respective resort
- Distinguish between the similarly named “Shinhwa History Park” and “Jeju Shinhwa World Theme Park” stops, and confirm the destination shown
- According to the information provided, taking a taxi or rental car from the airport takes approximately 40 minutes on average
Visiting by car with paid EV chargers and the resort's extensive layout in mind
The official FAQ states that paid electric-vehicle chargers are available in the parking lots of the hotels, resorts, and theme park at Jeju Shinhwa World. However, parking fees and available parking areas for theme park visitors may vary depending on events, accommodations, and congestion, so it is advisable to confirm the conditions for the day with the official customer center at 1670-8800 before entering by car.
Inside the theme park are Wingcle's Pizzeria, Wingcle's Bistro, Bump Snack, Larva Snack, and Larva Cafeteria. Bite Food Court in Oscar New World is listed as operating from 11:30 to 15:30. The contact number for Bite Food Court is 064-908-6799, and its signature menu items include pork loin cutlet, shrimp tempura udon, jajangmyeon, and a mixed chicken set.

Ghostmong, from 20:00 to 23:00, is a separate summer nighttime event from the regular theme park admission
For summer 2026, “Ghostmong: The Grudge of the Earthbound Spirit” is announced as a separate event running from July 24 to August 17. Operating hours are 20:00–23:00, final admission is at 22:30, and the Ghostmong ticket booth operates from 19:00 to 22:00. This event is separate from the regular Shinhwa Theme Park, so a separate Ghostmong admission ticket must be purchased.
Therefore, for a visit on August 8, the daytime operating hours of 10:00–19:30 do not connect to the nighttime Ghostmong admission system. For an itinerary centered on young children, schedule the Larva zone, carousel, and 4D theater during the day. If the goal is a horror experience, plan around the separate nighttime ticket and the 22:30 final admission time.

Staying at Shinhwa or Landing Hall: how the length of the day changes when combined with the water park
If you are visiting only Shinhwa Theme Park, an attraction-focused itinerary takes approximately 3–5 hours, while a half-day is more realistic when including the children's playground, meals, and breaks. The official facility list also includes Central Stage and Larva Stage, so the time spent on-site may vary depending on performances and events.
Shinhwa Water Park is a separate facility, and its official operating hours are 10:00–20:00. If you plan to use both facilities on the same day, rather than simply combining the water park and theme park, check separately the admission conditions for each facility, changing time, and whether outdoor facilities are operating according to the weather. Benefits for resort guests and the conditions for receiving the theme park BIG3 offer also vary by accommodation and package, so check the inclusions on the official reservation page.
