The International Convention Center Jeju (ICC JEJU) is a large-scale convention facility in the Jungmun Tourist Complex that opened on March 22, 2003. Visitors are advised to first check if the event is open to the public on the day and plan their route using the 400-space parking lot, airport limousines, or buses bound for Jungmun.

International Meeting Infrastructure Opened on March 22, 2003, in Jungmun Tourist Complex

International Convention Center Jeju (ICC JEJU) is located at 224 Jungmungwangwang-ro, Seogwipo-si, Jeju-do, and opened on March 22, 2003. The discussion for its establishment began after the necessity was raised during the 50th-anniversary speech of Jeju-do's promotion in 1996, followed by a feasibility study, the inaugural general meeting in August 1997, the groundbreaking ceremony in March 1998, the start of main construction in December 1999, and completion on December 27, 2002.

This facility consists of two basement levels and five floors above ground, situated within the Jungmun Tourist Complex with views of Hallasan and the ocean. It has a history of hosting international meetings such as the 37th Asian Development Bank (ADB) Annual Meeting and PATA Annual Conference in 2004, the ASEAN-Republic of Korea Commemorative Summit in 2009, the World Conservation Congress (WCC) in 2012, and the AIIB Annual Meeting in 2017. Thus, it is more accurate to understand it as an infrastructure built for Jeju's MICE industry rather than a simple exhibition hall.

4,061㎡ Tamna Hall and 4,300 Seats Speak to the Scale of ICC JEJU

The 5th-floor Tamna Hall is the core space of ICC JEJU. The combined area of A, B, and C is 4,061㎡, with dimensions of 80.4m in width, 45.4m in depth, and 13.7m in height. It accommodates up to 4,300 people in theater style, 2,000 people in banquet style, and 3,500 people in classroom style. On days with large-scale general assemblies, performances, or exhibitions, the entry flow and the location of the registration desk in this hall greatly influence the visitor experience.

Tamna Hall can be divided into three sections, with simultaneous interpretation booths in Hall A (8 booths) and Hall B (8 booths). It is also equipped with an infrared wireless 8-language simultaneous interpretation system, one 20,000 ANSI DLP beam projector, two control rooms, one lighting control room, and eight waiting rooms. Admission to the venue depends on the host's conditions for pre-registration, invitation, or on-site reception, rather than a general building ticket system.

Check Before Entrance Fees: Event Schedule and Public Viewing Availability

ICC JEJU is not a place where uniform operating hours or permanent admission tickets are announced like a museum. You must check the date, event name, and location in the official event schedule, and then verify the possibility of general public viewing, entrance fees, pre-registration deadlines, and ID or QR entry procedures on the respective event's website. Therefore, entrance fees are not fixed on a permanent basis and vary by event.

The center is announced as a year-round facility, and no regular closing days are separately notified. However, access to meeting rooms and exhibition halls may be restricted according to installation, dismantling, and security schedules. The main representative number is 064-735-1000, and the official website is https://www.iccjeju.co.kr/. On days without scheduled events, it is better to plan centered on the exterior, 1st-floor commercial facilities, and surrounding walking paths rather than assuming entry to the event halls.

  • Event Attendance: Check entry conditions and start times on the host's registration page
  • General Visit: Check the available range of lobby and commercial facilities according to on-site guidance
  • Inquiry: ICC JEJU representative 064-735-1000
  • Recommended Stay: Program-based for event attendance; approx. 30–60 minutes for exterior and surrounding paths only

The parking capacity for passenger cars is 400 spaces. This includes 128 spaces in the 1st-floor indoor parking lot, 124 spaces in the 2nd-floor indoor parking lot, 7 spaces in front of the international flags, 25 spaces outside the basement parking entrance, 20 spaces at the Sunken Garden entrance, and 12 spaces at the Ieodo Plaza entrance. Large bus parking is guided at a capacity of 15 buses, with separate spaces for 28 large and 28 small vehicles marked in the staff parking area.

Reaching 224 Jungmungwangwang-ro via Jeju Airport Limousine 600 and Bus 655

Traveling by car from Jeju International Airport takes approximately 40–50 minutes via Pyeonghwa-ro. For public transportation from the airport, using the Airport Limousine 600 from the limousine stop on the left side of Gate 5 on the 1st floor is a known method; it is necessary to re-check the schedule, stops, and fares in the Jeju-do bus information before departure.

From the Seogwipo downtown area, Bus 655 starts at ICC JEJU and passes through Cheonjeyeon Pokpo (Waterfall), Jungmun Post Office, Jungmun Elementary School, Gangchanghak Stadium, and Seogwipo Post Office. The International Peace Center Jeju is guided as a 5-minute walk from the 'Jeju International Convention Center' stop. Since the center itself does not have a subway station, movement plans should be based on bus stop names and event start times rather than 'station exit' routes.

  • Road Name Address: 224 Jungmungwangwang-ro, Seogwipo-si, Jeju-do
  • Airport Car Travel: Approx. 40–50 minutes via Pyeonghwa-ro
  • Airport Bus: Prior verification of Airport Limousine 600 availability and schedule required
  • Toward Seogwipo: Utilize the Jeju International Convention Center stop for Bus 655

5-Minute Walk to International Peace Center Jeju Within Jungmun Tourist Complex

ICC JEJU is located within the Jungmun Tourist Complex, making it easy to connect with nearby facilities briefly after attending a meeting. The International Peace Center Jeju is guided as a 5-minute walk from the 'Jeju International Convention Center' stop, with operating hours of 09:00–18:00 from March to October and 09:00–17:00 from November to February. To fill the spare time before or after an event, it is efficient to check the daily operation of both facilities and visit them together.

Visitor reviews mention that there are many walking-distance tourist attractions around the convention center and it takes about 3 hours to look around, but this is a personal review written in 2019. Actual travel time varies depending on event attendance, weather, slope, and walking speed. For users of strollers or wheelchairs, indoor parking and disabled parking spaces are available, but it is safer to check the specific entry doors and elevator routes at the on-site information desk for each event.

How to Separate the 1st Floor Jungmun Duty Free Shop from Event Day Crowds

On the 1st floor of ICC JEJU, there is the Jungmun Duty Free Shop run by the Jeju Tourism Organization and permanent stores. The use of the duty-free shop for domestic travelers may vary depending on flight or ship conditions and departure schedules, so if visiting for shopping purposes, you must separately check the duty-free shop's business hours, purchase conditions, and pickup procedures. Free parking benefits for duty-free shop customers are based on receipt barcode authentication.

On days when large-scale academic conferences, fairs, or forums are held, vehicles and lobbies may become congested during registration times despite the 400 parking spaces. Since Tamna Hall can accommodate up to 4,300 people, it is better to arrive early considering registration deadlines, security checks, and badge collection times rather than arriving just before the event starts. Conversely, on days without public events, it is more realistic to determine the purpose of your visit after checking the event schedule, rather than expecting to freely tour the meeting areas like a tourist attraction.

  • Regular Holidays: No separate notice
  • Permanent Entrance Fee: None, varies by event
  • Parking Inquiry: 070-7119-2036
  • Foreign Language Guidance: Tourism interpretation service 1330 supports Korean, English, Japanese, and Chinese
