Uiwang Rail Bike is a manual pedal experience facility that runs a 4.3 km loop along the edge of Wangsong Lake. It opened in 2016 as part of a railway-special-zone tourism project, and it is safest to check the departure time, weather, and Monday closure status before boarding.

On April 20, 2016, the 4.3 km circular line built on Wangsong Lake by the railway special district of Uiwang
Uiwang Rail Bike is a manual pedal rail bike that makes one full loop around the 4.3 km perimeter of Wangsong Lake in Uiwang-si, Gyeonggi-do. It opened on April 20, 2016 as the result of a tourism project linked to the railway special district promoted since 2011, and the total project cost at the time was reported to be about 15 billion KRW.
Wangsong Lake was reported to be about 1 million ㎡ in size, and unlike a closed-loop route that runs back and forth outside the lake, the rail bike is notable for being designed to circle along the shoreline. At the time of opening, 100 four-seater bikes were installed, and the basic time required for one loop is guided as about 40 to 50 minutes.

Weekdays 09:30~17:00, weekends 09:30~18:00; first check whether Monday is closed
According to the current guidance, rail bike operating hours are 09:30~17:00 on weekdays and 09:30~18:00 on weekends and public holidays. On weekdays, sessions at 09:30, 10:30, 11:30, 13:00, 14:00, 15:00, and 16:00 run, and on weekends and public holidays the 17:00 and 18:00 sessions may be added.
The regular weekly closure is Monday, and if Monday is a public holiday, it may be operated with the closure moved to the following day. Because sessions may change depending on season, weather, and facility inspections, it is better to check same-day operation in advance on the official website https://www.uwrailpark.com or by phone at 031-462-3001 before departure.

Rail bike fares are 28,000 KRW on weekdays and 30,000 KRW on weekends and public holidays for a 2-seater, while the 4-seater costs 36,000 KRW on weekdays and 40,000 KRW on weekends and public holidays. This is not a free facility with separate admission; instead, you pay the usage fee per bike.
The maximum capacity per bike is 4 people. Infants under 24 months may ride with one additional companion according to the guidance, and children under 120 cm in height must ride with a guardian. Pregnant visitors and guests under the influence of alcohol may be restricted from boarding.

- 2-seater weekend/public holiday: 30,000 KRW
- 4-seater weekday: 36,000 KRW
- 4-seater weekend/public holiday: 40,000 KRW
Online reservations are available until the day before, and sessions after 13:00 on Saturdays and Sundays may sell out first
Online reservations can be made on the official Uiwang Rail Park website at least one day before the intended visit date, and same-day tickets are sold only at the on-site ticket booth. On weekends and public holidays, the preferred session may sell out first, so travelers who care about a specific time should book in advance.
Recent visitor reviews repeatedly mention weekend waiting, reservation checks, and safety guidance procedures. If you choose to buy on-site, it is especially worth considering arriving before the first session or before 10:00 in the morning. On days when rain, strong wind, or other outdoor conditions affect operation, you should check the operation notice before anything else rather than relying on a reservation.

About 25 minutes from Uiwang Station on Line 1, and the walking route is shorter when using the Nature Learning Park parking lot
By public transportation, getting off at Uiwang Station on Seoul Metropolitan Subway Line 1 and walking takes about 25 minutes according to the guide. If you have a lot of luggage or are traveling with children, you can use a city bus toward Wangsong Lake from near Exit 2 of Uiwang Station to reduce the walking distance, but it is more accurate to recheck the route and stop on a map app on the day of departure.
Visitors arriving by car can use the parking lots near Uiwang Rail Park and the Nature Learning Park parking lot. A 30% discount for within 4 hours at the Nature Learning Park parking lot has been announced for leisure facility users, and parking spaces may fill up quickly on weekends. Parking fees and discount eligibility may vary depending on on-site notices.
- Subway: Line 1 Uiwang Station, about 25 minutes on foot
- Parking: nearby parking lots and the Nature Learning Park parking lot available
- Weekend note: both parking and on-site tickets are relatively more favorable in the morning
Since this is a course where you pedal yourself for 40 to 50 minutes, prepare separately for strollers, clothing, and photo rules
The course takes about 40 to 50 minutes, and the power depends on the visitors pedaling. Rather than expecting a fast amusement ride, it is closer to an experience of moving along the edge of the lake at a steady pace, so if you or someone with you has knee or back pain, or has difficulty pedaling continuously, it is worth considering the burden before boarding.
Strollers cannot be loaded onto the bike, and guidance says they should be stored in the space around the ticket booth. During the ride, standing up from your seat, fooling around with companions, drinking alcohol, smoking, or arbitrarily operating the equipment is prohibited. There is also safety guidance to put belongings in the bike’s lower storage compartment or a bag rather than in your pockets.
- Strollers: not allowed on board, storage guidance near the ticket booth
- Feeding support: a nursing room, diaper-changing table, and microwave are Informationed on the 1st floor of the Wangsong Lake management office
- Accessibility: the walking paths and areas around the ticket booth are relatively gentle, but the rail bike itself is a pedal-based experience, so it is not well suited for independent boarding by wheelchair users
Combine migratory birds, walking trails, and the music fountain, but recheck fountain times in that year’s notice
Around the rail bike track, there are the Wangsong Lake walking trail, Nature Learning Park, the Bird Ecology Science Museum, an ecological wetland, and a lotus garden. Riding the rail bike alone takes about an hour, but if you add a walk along the lakeside before or after, a 2 to 3 hour itinerary feels natural.
In a past notice from the operator, the water play facility was stated to operate from 10:00 to 19:20 from April to September, with 20 minutes of operation every hour followed by 40 minutes of rest, and the music fountain was stated to operate from 20:00 to 20:20 and 21:00 to 21:20 from March to November. However, since this was a 2017 notice, if you are visiting for the nighttime fountain, you must definitely check a separate notice for the relevant date in 2026.
