8 minutes from Hwaseo Station Exit 2 or 3: How to make the most of the 330,000㎡ Starfield Suwon route
Starfield Suwon is a mixed-use shopping mall with a total floor area of 330,000㎡ that opened on January 26, 2024. If you move by floor-specific purpose—from Byeolmadang Library on the 4th floor to the rooftop garden and pet park on the 8th floor, and Traders on B2—you can reduce walking distance even in the long building.

33,000 m² scale that opened north of Hwaseo Station on January 26, 2024
Starfield Suwon is a mixed-use shopping mall that officially opened on January 26, 2024 at 175, Suseong-ro, Jangan-gu, Suwon-si, Gyeonggi-do. According to Suwon City tourism information, its total floor area is 330,000 m², and the building consists of 8 basement floors and 8 above-ground floors. In the first three days after opening, it attracted about 330,000 visitors, making it a facility that greatly changed the floating population around Hwaseo Station.
This site was established in the Jangan-gu Jeongja-dong and Hwaseo Station living area, between the Suwon Station commercial district and the Suwon Hwaseong tourism zone. The fact that it was designed so visitors can enter Starfield B2 through the underground B2 connecting passage of Daeyu Peace Park is a defining feature of the Hwaseo Station area development, which aims to connect a large building and the park through pedestrian routes rather than separating them.

8 minutes on foot from Exits 2 and 3 of Hwaseo Station, 9 bus routes
By subway, get off at Hwaseo Station on Seoul Metropolitan Subway Line 1, exit from Exit 2 or 3, and walk about 8 minutes. For first-time foreign visitors, it is simplest to follow the shopping mall direction signs from the station and use the large building as a reference. Hwaseo Station also uses the subname Starfield Suwon.
For buses, you can use village buses 2-5, 21, and 27-1; regular buses 2-1, 3, 19, 37, and 92; and metropolitan bus 1009. Because bus routes may be adjusted, it is safest to check real-time arrival information just before departure. If coming by car, checking the official real-time parking status first and then deciding whether to enter can reduce the risk of weekend waiting.

10:00~22:00 by default, with different closing times by store
The standard operating hours of Starfield Suwon are 10:00~22:00, and Suwon City tourism information lists it as open year-round. However, business hours can vary by store, so if you are visiting for a specific purpose such as the movie theater, kids facilities, restaurants, or Traders, you should check the hours of that store separately.
Admission itself is free. There is no separate entrance fee for looking around the mall's common areas and the 4th-floor Byeolmadang Library, but paid content such as Megabox, Champion The Black Belt, and Smob follows each facility's fees and reservation conditions. If you include shopping and dining, plan for 3 to 5 hours; if you only visit the Byeolmadang Library and one or two floors, 1 to 2 hours is more realistic.

Divide the floors by purpose, from B2 Traders to the 8F Pet Park
B2 brings together a large mart, Daiso, a supermarket, clinics, pharmacies, and laundry-related facilities, making it a good place to handle everyday purchases first. On 1F, the customer center and restaurants/cafes are mixed with fashion, beauty, and car, flower, and pet-related stores. 2F and 3F have a high proportion of fashion and accessories, and 3F also has kids, musical instrument, and party supply stores.
4F, which houses the Byeolmadang Library and a bookstore, is the best reference point to visit first. 5F has a cultural space, games, and a barber shop; 6F has furniture, golf, hair, and Emart24; 7F has kids facilities and Megabox. 8F consists of the rooftop garden and pet park, making it a good final floor for an itinerary with a pet.

How to connect floors 5 to 7 around the 4th-floor Byeolmadang Library
The Byeolmadang Library is located on 4F and is a shared cultural space in Starfield Suwon that you can visit regardless of shopping. Looking at the space first on the 4th floor and then moving upward while linking your sightline and store route is helpful for navigation. Programs such as lectures and performances are not fixed, so you should check the official event schedule on the day of your visit.
If you plan to just look at books or take photos and leave, starting on 4F and then going up to the 5F cultural space, the 6F furniture and golf stores, and the 7F Megabox direction will reduce back-and-forth use of stairs and escalators. Conversely, if you have a set movie time, it is better to arrive first using the 7F Megabox as your reference and then go down to the 4F Byeolmadang Library.

4,500-space parking lot and 6 hours free, Daeyu Peace Park B2 connecting passage
The parking lot can accommodate about 4,500 vehicles, and the official parking policy offers 6 hours free regardless of purchase amount. After 6 hours, a fee of 500 won per 10 minutes is charged. If you are combining a long restaurant wait, a movie, and a visit to the kids facilities, it is a good idea to record your entry time.
There is a connecting passage linking Daeyu Peace Park Parking B2 and Starfield Suwon B2. On weekends and holidays, reviews repeatedly mention vehicle queues and congestion on nearby roads from late morning, so if your schedule makes walking from Hwaseo Station easier than driving, the subway is the sensible option. If you must drive, it is worth prioritizing arrival in the early morning rather than right after opening or in the late afternoon.

1F wheelchair and stroller rental, actual locations of nursing rooms on 3F and 7F
Convenience facilities are concentrated on 1F. The stroller and wheelchair rental desk, pet stroller rental desk, customer center, and infirmary are all on 1F, and strollers are guided for infants under 15 kg and between 2 and under 36 months old. Lockers are located in B2 and on several floors from 1F to 8F, so you can store your bags before a long shopping trip.
Nursing rooms are on 3F and 7F, and the information Informations a lactation room, cleaning room, rest and sleeping space, and functions for warming formula and bottles and changing diapers. EV charging stations are on B3 through B6, with slow chargers on B3 through B6 and fast chargers on B6. Since foreign-language-only guidance is marked as unavailable in Suwon City tourism information, it is better to save the store names and floor numbers you need in a translation app.
Pet conditions to know before using the 8F Star Garden
Pets are allowed, but some stores restrict entry. The 1F pet stroller rental desk is available, and separately from the 8F rooftop garden and pet park, Star Garden is presented as a dedicated space for dogs. If you plan to use the indoor shopping route as well, it is safest to check store by store whether a carrier or pet stroller is required.
Only dogs that have completed vaccinations may enter Star Garden, and only one dog per guardian is allowed. The breeds listed in the guidance, including Dosa, American Pit Bull Terrier, American Staffordshire Terrier, Staffordshire Bull Terrier, and Rottweiler, are restricted from entry. Dogs with strong aggression or poor socialization should refrain from using the facility, and the rule against feeding other dogs also applies.
